V9 I've got some early game observations for grinding and power balance. - 4 grinders, 4 gas engines = 4.49 operations per tick (averaged among the set, 17.95 o/s each) - 18 hsla steel (grinders only) - 1 grinder, 4 gas engines, 3 junctions, 1 4x speed gears = 11.95 operations per tick - 21 hsla...

V9 Found a crash bug if it helps any. Accidentally building/ clicking on the ritual table with the Extra Utilities builders wand causes a reproducible crash. Crashlog which is out of my powers of deciphering. Hope it helps in some way.

Understandable. Was a rather nice explosion to. Can the positions for boring machines be reused? Rather what is the requirement for them to continue where they left off?

So I had a slight boring machine mishap and wanted to ask about it. In summary I was using multiple boring machines for gathering resources. All was working well with eff. V and fortune III upgrades at diamond level. I decided to go with a silk touch machine so I broke and replaced with another...

May someone help me with version V9a? I had no luck searching in this forum as well as the one at MCF If my memory is correct shock panels from Expanded Redstone drop mob items (right?). If that is correct I built a basic 3x3 killing chamber with 3 emerald grade shock panels. After killing...

Good point. @Reika what are your thoughts of tier 2 lubrication production? Does it add any benefit to the game from your perspective? In summary a few alternative methods discussed so far are: - Crude refinery and cracking - Lube refinement - Bedrock Fracker - Coal gasification with catalytic...

I've got a suggestion for RoC that was sparked with all this lube talk. Kind of a big change up but fits rather well with the mod theme. Canola is a well established source of making lubricant and as far as I know it is the only way aside from MFR oil. If we consider grinding canola as a tier 1...

For the fermenter I managed the temp using the different biomes, plains/river. From there I used the day cycle. I think elevations make a difference: lower is colder. Outside of that I was unsuccessful to control that low of a temp gradient.

Sorry for my poor argument structure. I've understood the situation as your assumption that the extractor breaks early game ore processing. All I am saying is it wont and used mining as a time weight comparison. As for specific data it would be a while to test and collect real data for you...

You are correct in noticing that the crafting recipe for the extractor is very simple: some steel, wood, and netherack. However this doesn't mean it will be efficient to run without proper infrastructure to run a micro turbine. Hand mining with unenchanted vanilla tools can easily out produce an...

Conflicting information. The mod is well thought out and has balanced much since the last FTB public pack. Check out the useful facts and info page. There is some relevant info for items thought to be overpowered.

Having the ability to make bedrock tools is based in the core of RoC therefore shouldn't be disabled.

The table references water properties around 300C saturation temp which is also the temp that the molten sodium heater operates. Does this use heat from steam to melt sodium? Guess 2: Transfer from low pressure steam lines to high temp saturated water? Not much RailCraft experience so I cant...
