Sacred Springs, Cherry Blossom Groves, Mesas, and Badlands are my faves. Mangroves are also pretty wicked, if you like the pretty bayou look that is. As for why? Strictly appearance. Each has a beautiful aesthetic.

Yeah. I don't mind using it in the Nether much, though I wish it replaced with netherrack so I didn't need to myself. I care about world aesthetics, after all. But I dropped BuildCraft from my pack as it didn't really add anything I need ... except for the pump.

Ooh! RF/redstone powered chunkloaders! Waaay better than needing Ender Pearls. Yes. Yes I did, but then I forgot about water's duplication. I like pumps for clearing out things like sludge and oil and all those other pesky fluids that I still might want to keep.

Sometimes I wonder why, for changes like that that affect so many other mods, more of the devs don't discuss it between themselves before implementing them.

Because of the pervasive and early-game nature of ore doubling, nearly all mods have balanced around ore doubling existing. I, personally, make doubling a priority one task. While I don't mind mining, I'm not a fan of spending twice as much time to do so. That's just unnecessary grind.

Forestry's Electric Engine: EU -> MJ. There is no direct MJ -> EU in Forestry.
