Hello, I'd like to share with you all how storing energy in BuildCraft works.

You can turn off dynamos with a redstone signal, which energy cells output based on their power level. No BuildCraft needed. Just a bit of vanilla redstone logic. Funny how people always conveniently forget about that...

Hello, I'd like to share with you all how storing energy in BuildCraft works.

Here's the thing. We all already know this. We all already do that. He was simply trying to get us to redefine what we call energy storage under the guise of 'teaching'. And no. Knowing we can store fuel, which even a player new to FTB and modded Minecraft can figure out within seconds...

Tech World 2 Not Enough Tech

Really? That's about all I use them for.

Hello, I'd like to share with you all how storing energy in BuildCraft works.

^ This is something I wouldn't mind at all. My end-goal in any mod, in regards to the power system, is a modular on-demand system with a healthy buffer and no persistent phantom power loss. And by power system I mean after the engines/dynamos/generators. Not before. Right now Buildcraft...

Hello, I'd like to share with you all how storing energy in BuildCraft works.

ITT: Where we're told we're wrong for wanting efficiency and no phantom power loss and where 'fun' can be universally defined as something we're not having.

Hello, I'd like to share with you all how storing energy in BuildCraft works.

Buildcraft energy keeps being more likened to pneumatic energy. So less a flywheel and more an air tank.

DEAD. READ THE NOTICE. A bunch of ideas. A bunch of mods. One vision. Check it out.

I love the idea, but most of these steam consumers already have equivalents in their respective mods, sans IC2, of course. TE can directly process steam in the Steam Dynamo, as Railcraft can with it's own Steam Engines. RotaryCraft also has a steam consumer. I don't know that there is need...

    MFR and Magical Crops

The 'fix' was to remove the partial support as previously it would give the wrong products and occasionally plant fully-grown crops. The full fix isn't in, yet.

    MFR and Magical Crops

MFR still doesn't currently support Magical Crops. I think Thaumcraft may be the only way, but I haven't personally tested Forestry multifarms or Rotarycraft fans.

Hello, I'd like to share with you all how storing energy in BuildCraft works.

Flywheels are the exact method that RotaryCraft, a mod with more direct kinetic energy (rotational) than BuildCraft, uses.

    Can anybody help me?

Depends on your likings. I think RotaryCraft is a bit harder conceptually than IC2. It covers most of the bases of IC2 with the exception of something like UU-Matter and specialized farming like crops. And I have no clue on ReactorCraft. I just know it's make by Reika, and I like what I see...

    Can anybody help me?

RotaryCraft is part of the backbone of the tech in my pack. I'm considering adding ReactorCraft if I decide to dump IC2. And that book really helps. One of my players, new to modded Minecraft, seems to be doing pretty well with it using only the guide.

Why do people like Thermal Expansion so much?

The unfortunate truth, atm. It's why I now run my own server and private modpack. Because griefers always hit the non-whitelist servers. And that takes out all the fun for me and my friends.

Well... it was bound to happen, Greg is nerfing base IC2

Now if only his configs were better labeled and more user friendly.

What are your thoughts on renewable energy?

I'm currently running liquefacted coal from Magical Crops coal plants. I'm interested in Extra Utilities' solar plants, but I'll probably end up with RotaryCraft's hydro gens.

Why do people like Thermal Expansion so much?

The problem with turtles is how to allow only your turtles to break and interact and not those of other players. Right now, to enable turtles to work for you also invites anyone's turtles free reign. Common griefer tactic there. >.< Gravy guns weren't the problem. I recall it specifically...

Isn't there a command to kill all rifts in DD?

Why do people like Thermal Expansion so much?

Honestly, I'm not sure. If I thought I knew I'd probably try to work with people to make it or just make it myself. >.< I've thought on it alot and have thought on those problems you mention. I still haven't figured out, though, how to work around the odder mechanics, such as those used by...

Why do people like Thermal Expansion so much?

Of course, but if it's expedited by Forge, then that makes it much easier. And yes, I always to tend to blame the mods if they don't handle protections well, regardless of how much I like the mod.
