Using RotaryCraft's power for other Mods..

Yeah. I love the in-game books. I really do. I think that more mods should have them. Especially the more in-depth ones like IC2, Railcraft, and Forestry.

Using RotaryCraft's power for other Mods..

I think Bevo has a wonder 3 or 4 part spotlight on YouTube. All the stuff is documented well in-game as well through a cheaply craftable book. I have TE and RotaryCraft as the backbone of tech in my modpack. I plan on running, eventually, solely off of RotaryCraft power. I don't know it well...

Using RotaryCraft's power for other Mods..

Yes. RotaryCraft has machines to flawlessly convert to and from MJ and RF. And steam as well, I believe. No direct EU conversion, though. Same as other tech mods. Automated farming, mob farming, mining, and ore processing. You know. The usual. And mounted railguns for fun. ^.^

Tinker's Construct Weapon/Tools - Simple and to the point.

I'd love that feature. Moss is great and all, but it's kinda ugly as sin. I've switched to flux-powered on my current server as it looks far better.

Tinker's Construct Weapon/Tools - Simple and to the point.

I do believe that mahnamahna is more damaging, but I can't check that for sure atm. And I forgot about stonebound being useless for weaps. Shows how often I use my longsword/scythe. >.< The more you know, I guess. Looks like I'll need a new hammer then.

I thought there was a limit of three on the redstone speed modifier. Is there not?

Tinker's Construct Weapon/Tools - Simple and to the point.

Mahnamahna has more damage output IIRC. 2.5 hearts instead of 2.0. As for stonebound? By itself it's meh. Lower the tools 'durability' to near zero then put on electric or flux and charge it and you have the permanent boost so long as you never run it dry of energy.

Tinker's Construct Weapon/Tools - Simple and to the point.

You're forgetting about the two +modifier 'modifiers'. You can run an ardite rod and 150 redstone and still fit both silky and either electric or flux.

Tinker's Construct Weapon/Tools - Simple and to the point.

My own personal hammers tend to run cobalt for head and plates as all three are averaged for speed. I also run an ardite handle for the stonebound speed boost. My primary TCon pick is always cobalt head (max speed), ardite rod (max stonebound), and obsidian binding (max reinforced). I may...

Tinker's Construct Weapon/Tools - Simple and to the point.

The 'best' depends almost entirely on what you want to get out of it. The only near-universally agreed upon things are as such: Tools: Cobalt heads/plates. (Fastest material period and highest used mining level) Weapons: Manyllium (or however you spell it) blades/plates. (Highest damage...

Thermal Expansion 3.0!!! No More Beta! Thanks KL!

I really hope that it isn't necessary to drop all BC support. It'd be a shame to drop all cross-mod intercompatibility between the two, especially given the genesis of TE. Despite the hard-line stance by some, I hope you take the high road here. If MJ -> RF support won't be added on their end...

Does Anybody know when EE3 Updates?

As much as I want EE3 in my modpack, I think I'll wait until it's a bit more stable. I don't want to risk my server world. I think my players would be quite peeved. >.<

    What Would Make MFR Balanced?

That, I think, would be a fair mechanic without making things too Gregy. Depends on how far you up the power usage. It may be a bit on the cheap side right now, but most of the 'balancing' I've seen people promote is making the costs so prohibitively high that you might as well not even...

    What Would Make MFR Balanced?

It's the only MJ/RF based farming implementation in my modpack as I don't have the full MJ trifecta in it. I don't want to require my players to go deep into bees and trees for decent renewables. The nerfing of vanilla saplings in the fermenter was good for Forestry, but it forced all to...

    What Would Make MFR Balanced?

The same is true of Thaumcraft's golem automation, Forestry's multifarms, and RotaryCrafts farming implementation. By themselves they are balanced. But throw in others and some will be 'better' than others. I have MFR in my pack, but I'm trying out golems this time. Those things be cute!

    What Would Make MFR Balanced?

Bred trees can, yes. But that has the difficulty of actually breeding for it, which is not a fast and easy process. And, unfortunately, all 'biofuels' got nerfed in engines because of the power of bred Forestry trees. And if you could run those same saplings in MFR, then that'd still be...

    What Would Make MFR Balanced?

Whoa. I musta missed the memo on what balanced meant. O.O

    What Would Make MFR Balanced?

I agree with everything but forcing steel use. That's just pushing stuff back until you have a blast furnace. That isn't any harder. Just delays until you have steel production, which is cheap to process once you have the forge. Delays != difficulty. It's just a new enforced horizontal...

Why don't people like IC2 anymore?

Ooh. Or use that lovely new rocket launcher from MFR! Though I will admit that explosions if you mess up your reactor make sense. Never had a complaint there.

Why don't people like IC2 anymore?

The concept of fun differs from one to another. Some, like yourself, like the explosions. Many others, like myself, find them to be needlessly punitive for what could be a simple mistake. A simple mistake that can potentially set you back a significant amount of time. Though explosions alone...
