@ArchAngelThomas @Mikhail Krutov Agree with Herminator here. The eIO Reservoir is not exactly early-game. The recipe is more mid-game-ish. The rain tank, however, requires just wood, iron, and slimeballs. Slimes are common in Swampland biomes and underground (in the dark) in most other biomes...

Ender(thermic ?) Pump is the best way, yes. If you don't have enough portable or cross-dimensional energy yet, you can use Automagy's Thirsty Tank. It doesn't have nearly the range of the Ender Pump, but it requires no power and it's pretty cheap to make, assuming you've had at least modest...

Yeah. Not logged in now to verify, but I believe sulfuric are non-rechargeable / 1-time-use / disposable / not-work-in-that-application. You should be able to make Lithium batteries at your tech. level.

Whoa. First time I heard of this. Gives a new meaning to "baking it in".

Very sorry to hear this, Jason. Maybe it's because I killed a Jason_McCray in my world a few hours ago. Even though I knew it was just some AI mob, I nevertheless hesitated before counter-attacking.

Might be a mismatch between server and client or else scripts not loading. I fired up 3.1.23 just now and I'm not seeing any "wooden rod" or "copper wand" in NEI. What version of this pack are you running ?

@Joel Falk You need to MV Centrifuge lava or pahoe lava. To bootstrap tungsten, I recommend vanilla lava to start with. When you have enough Tungstensteel to make rotors, then make pahoe lava. Pahoe lava is more efficient (faster, i.e. fewer ticks) when centrifuging when compared to normal lava...

@Joel Falk Don't worry too much about building too many EBFs for Tungestensteel to make rotors. You will need a *lot* of Tungestensteel to make multiblock Processing Arrays for Fusion. If you don't use Processing Arrays, you may kill your client and possibly your server from 200+ GT machine...

@Joel Falk Tungstensteel rotors do indeed last a long time. The only longer-lasting ones are made from material (much) more scarce then Tungstensteel. I forget if they break and disappear, or whether the durability goes to 0 and you can repair it then. I've honestly never let mine get to 0. If...

@Joel Falk A few misc. tips: 1. Never put an on/off switch on anything other than the reactors. 2. You can swap out a rotor on a Steam Turbine while it's running, but only by hand. It can't be automated AFAIK. 3. You can losslessly repair rotors with an 8192v GT Disassembler + Assembling...

Cool ! Nuclear is fun :) I'm not sure if you can make a MOX fluid reactor. It either won't work or else it will be horribly inefficient / too low power. MOX cores need to be hot and stay hot, 80% or so. Fluid reactor cores, however, need to stay cool, or else they blow up and stuff. Also...

That's just a theory. I never did figure out what was causing chunks to be effectively loaded without having an explicit chunkloader there.

Sorry, was away on Fall Break. Am back and hoping it's not too late. Yes, bees can make that much stuff if 'Fastest' production and with frames. Make sure your bee output / AE2 input can handle the comb overflow. I usually setup a dedicated set of Centrifuges for bee combs. And, 'Shortest'...

What @Aiwendil said, plus this is a more difficult/longer/tedious pack than most other packs in terms of technology and tiering. With that said, there are a ton of mining techniques and machines. Once you get the hang of GT5, you'll be swimming in iron since iron is probably the most common...

Yes, and that's just bad luck. Finding Redstone in the Nether with flight is the easiest way, but pre-Nether, pre-flight, it seems, is mostly luck.

I like to attach the starter bronze boilers directly to the RC tank and pipe in water from the bottom. You can use any kind of pipe for the water. I use all of my early-game silver to make solar boilers, which is usually enough for 5 or 6, which is usually enough to get me through the bronze age...

You don't need that many Mystical or Unusual Bees - just 1 each of each Princess and Drone is enough. As for frames, my Go-To frames are Metabolic and Oblivion, though you may have a hard time finding those if the server is well-explored. Nectrotic are good 2nd choices if you can't find...

You and me both ! After mining around 10 Redstone veins to reduce to Ruby dust and Chrome, I turned to my old friend : bees. If you can bend Grove's ear, the latest Magic Bees (2.3.5, released 9/4) has some (possibly OP) Empowering bees that cause nodes to grow. :-)

Re: COFH clear cheating It's like being able to see the future. It sounds cool and all, but there's a reason why it's been considered more of a curse than a benefit for thousands of years : knowing the future with absolute certainty is no fun ! Rather, finding ores or finding alternative ways...
