    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

True, that. But, even with Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune not being hot enough to melt a mining ship, there's gravity. Gas giants have the bad problem of providing nowhere to 'land', yet high enough gravity that trying to 'hover' is too expensive. So, you have to orbit at high speed and...

Wasn't ever a big fan of Minechem for this pack, even after the heavily-worked integration. It (still) felt a too much EE-ish.

In the Real World (IRL), Helium is extremely rare on earth. It's plentiful in stars via fusion of Hydrogen, but our civilization is not at the level yet where we can mine Helium in/from the sun or other stars. Perhaps we can make Helium in a fusion reactor on earth.

Re: Batteries So far, I'm pure GT and not using IC2 power storage at all. In previous worlds, I've gone through MFSUs as an intermediate step between 512v 'Large' batteries and 8192v Energy Orbs. I'm assuming it's feasible to stay pure GT and skip MFSUs, but please confirm. Reason I ask is I...

@Pyure Thanks for the quick responses. I'll look at the Reflector-based, Efficiency 7 builds when I build my Thorium reactor. And, I imagine the 5x5x5 reactor setup will be lots of reading and watching videos. Good stuff to learn :) I like !

@Pyure I thought about posting the following observations and questions regarding Nuclear Power in this pack in a private chat, but realized many people would benefit from this. Observations 1 vein of Pitchblende/Uranite/Uranium yields well over 12 MOX cells This is enough for a full-size...

How's this: Pressurized is now 120mB/t input per connection when conduit is extracting* and 480 output per connection. EnderFluid is 300 and 1200, respectively. *Input limit only applies when eIO conduit is the one doing the extracting. If other block is pushing fluid into the conduit, its...

Note that eIO conduits have unlimited throughput. The limits are upon input and output. So, a more accurate sentence might be: Pressurized is now 120mB/t input per connection and 480 output per connection. EnderFluid is 300 and 1200, respectively.

I've done that, spectacular explosions and all.

Please tell me if anyone reading this thread is shocked by that. I'm not. Here's the thing : Microsoft paid a ton of money for Minecraft. They expect to get their money out of it. This means: Mods as DLC ($$$) Multiplayer tied to XBox Live accounts Apple-style control over add-on content APIs...

    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

@Sliderpro This ^^^ This is a GT-centered pack, and since GT's cores are ores and power, other mods which have that as their cores as well like Mek and TE are redundant. It's not that Mek and TE are bad mods. Quite the contrary - they are awesome mods. But, one does not put chipotle peppers or...

@123nick Judging from your avatar picture, you seem to have patience and persistence. This is good, because early-game GT is supposed to be frustrating enough to make the player desire better tools and machines. And, if you think finding Tin is bad now, it was really bad in the early days of...

@Pyure What are you doing with all that lovely power ?

    Is it a good computer

CPU and RAM are excellent. However, bottleneck is disk I/O. Swap 2TB spinning drive with a 120MB or 240/250MB SSD drive and you'll have an awesome PC.

Have you tried the eIO Fluid Conduits ? In this pack, the entry gravity-based pipes are gated by Nether Quartz and bronze machines. The 2nd tier is gated by LV (steel) machines. The final tier is gated by Enderium, which is super-late MV, i.e. most people have HV machines by this time. eIO...

I think it means Ignobles die. I tried to make a new species using an Ignoble to start with (rather than a Pristine), and the Ignoble turn into something called 'Genetic trash' or some such. I never tried another Ignoble after that. And, when I would get an Ignoble as a result, I would use to...

@Pyure Chance for Pristine Princess to "degrade" to Ignoble. Ignobles die after ~200 cycles. I think Gendustry requires Pristine for the recipe. Hence, Ignobles can be used to make a few stacks of drones, but are otherwise trash.

@Ieldra Excellent comparison and write-up ! For GT Mk I fusion, how much energy positive is it to run the reactor and maintain it (processing the input) ?
