    [1.7.10][LISTED] InfiTech 2 Modpack v3.2.21 [HQM][GregTech balanced hard-mode modpack]

I had the same issue when I lost a few bits of reactor internals and they got replaced (auto-inserted) with fuel rods. I then lost some random reactor pressure vessel blocks (walls). Note that you can lose random components (heat exhangers, heat vents, etc.,.) from the internals if you break...

I think it's the best way, yes. The Thirsty Tank has depth problems. It can't drain deep pools of liquids. And, it has the BC pump problem of leaving flowing lava. That causes TPS or FPS issues on slower computers.

By SHS, I'm assuming you mean 2000mB/t of SHS, which means ~6K EU/t. That's still an astounding amount of power for Nether lava. And 1 Nether pump every 12 hours is trivial compared to the time and planning (brainpower) required to gather resources and build a comparable IC2 pressure vessel...

Holy crap. You're right. OK...that just proves my point more. (Nether) Lava in LHE is obscenely OP. I don't consider a BC pump, basic piping, and chunk loaders in the Nether 'serious'. To shortcut the whole cross-dimension transport, just build the LHE, Large Turbines, and charge Energy Orbs...

...just to be used or voided. In game balance terms, how does Nether-pumping balance against IC2 Pressure Vessel ? I have to admit : I have a grudge against Nether lava in general, and have had for years, regardless of the pack. Nether lava is insanely abusable. IMHO, Nether lava shouldn't be...

IMHO, I don't think lava should be a valid input (fuel) for the LHE. Hot Coolant : yes. It cools the hot coolant and returns it as normal (cool) coolant. This is exactly the way the Rankine cycle works in real life. As for lava, where is the lava going ? Wouldn't the internals of the LHE clog...

After about 2 week's worth of planning, I finally got the Large High Pressure Steam Turbine working in my world :D On the left is the High Pressure taking in Super Heated Steam. On the right is the regular. For the piping, I'm using Ender Fluid Conduits. Not only does it simplify the piping...

Yeah, I don't think it's the pot. Other foods using the iron pot don't have metallum. So far, I can only confirm cheese as having metallum.

After make Blue Steel via NEI, I put together this sheet so me in the future and others knows *exactly* how much to use of each base metal to make enough Blue Steel Ingots to make a full set of Turbine Housings for 1 (regular) Large Steam Turbine or 1 Large High Pressure Steam Turbine. Link to...

Re: metallum from cheese I confirmed that not all Pam's recipes that use the iron bowlpot have metallum in them. Chili, which uses tofu and the iron bowlpot, does not have metallum or anything that could be used to make metallum. And, the cheese metallum is really bad. 1 piece of cheese has 6...

Re: metal from cheese Yeah, seems like an unintended bug that is easily exploitable. And, indeed, metal scarcity sans lots of power or player time to mine and process it is one of the underpinnings of Gregtech and this pack.

LOL, yes, I noticed that. And, the extra !!!FUN!!! and confusion doesn't stop there. The rotors are spec'd in L/s, so we got the trifecta in just 1 power system ! Hu/s mB/t L/s I got your meaning quite fine :-)

Re: gunpowder There's also a 3x3 shaped IC2 recipe that uses 5x redstone and 4x coal dust to make 3x gunpowder. However, for mass production, it's hard to beat bees, crops, or Thaumcraft. Thaumcraft is pretty straightfoward. I reduce to essentia charcoal on one side and tiny stone dusts on...

Same. Ender Lily farms aren't too difficult to setup.

Ah, this perfectly explains the crappy (non-desired) behavior I had with my 1st attempt with the small rotor. I was sending it close to 900mB/t of steam and it could only handle 625mB/t max. On my 2nd rotor, I chose a 16,000L/s, or 800mB/t 'optimal' rotor, which means 800*1.25 = 1,000mB/t max...

Success !!! The system has been up and stable for 15 minutes now. So far, the steam and distilled water loop are 100% closed / efficient. No loss so far. Here's a pic of the LHE and the Large Turbine: I went with a regular-sized Tungsten Turbine (see below). The flow rate is perfect and the...

Re: Turbines I browsed the full list of 90+ regular-sized Turbines to find the 'best' one in terms of: Optimal Flow Rate Durability Scarcity of raw materials ...and found Tungsten meets my need. It's 16000L/s, which is 800 steam/tick (minimum), which fits my single reactor well enough. It's...

Ah, OK. Thanks. Ye olde /tick vs. /sec multiply/divide by 20 math. I'll replace that with a regular rotor. And, if I'm *not* supplying it with enough steam, will the rotor even spin/work ? I'm thinking not. And, is there any way of measuring steam output from the LHE other than glancing at...
