How far could I get in Infinity: Expert mode skyblock.

I, too, love how IE looks, iron be damned.

How far could I get in Infinity: Expert mode skyblock.

Yes, but very minor time gating mechanic. Early-game, you only need a handful of circuits or tubes at a time. Later game, you can queue up 100's of them at a time and/or make multiple Carpenters and Thermionic Fabricators. There's tons of bees in this pack, yes. You can get Uranium and...

No pump needed. RC rain tank pushes out the bottom. You can use cheap BC cobblestone fluid pipe with smelted catcus as the sealant.

A single RC water tank should be able to keep up with a few Hobbyist's. They're pretty easy on the water. Short of that, a water bucket into a stack of BC tanks should last a while. But, I'll promote ExUt up the list. I had forgotten about the Survivalist's Generator.

Thanks for noticing that. I've edited (fixed) the error.

Agree 100%. If you absolutely can't stand IC2, you will need to search/replace all the recipes requiring plutonium, MOX fuel, and RTG. But, if you remove IC2, it guts a good part of the tech. in the pack. Big Reactors, for instance, was designed to come after one had made significant progress in...

How far could I get in Infinity: Expert mode skyblock.

Well, there is a reason why it's 'Expert' mode : it means that in every sense of the word. If you're looking to learn a mod and play it the way the mod author intended for it to be played, that might not happen. IC2 is largely untouched, but the magic mods especially have had major recipe...

    What's the display resolution ?

    Laptop to run FTB

For the larger packs these days (ex. InfinityEvolved), 8GB is on the edge/border of not being enough or being barely enough. 16GB is still plenty, though. In summary: 4GB : not enough for most packs 8GB : might be OK, depending upon pack 16GB : should be plenty CPU vs. GPU for Minecraft...

BTW, how is the Nether and The End handled in this skyblock pack ? I'm assuming the The End is the same. Otherwise, Draconic Evolution would be difficult to re-script without it.

How far could I get in Infinity: Expert mode skyblock.

In general, this pack - moreso than others - rewards getting out and about. You won't be able to capture nodes for a while, so you'll be running around re-filling your wand with nodes in the wild unless you do a lot of killing with the wand in your inventory bar. Botania pretty requires a...

How far could I get in Infinity: Expert mode skyblock.

Ah.I see you haven't visited a village or visited enough villages. In nearly every village, there is a red brick, 2-story house. It will have a hammer in a frame above the doorway. And, there's almost always treated sticks in the IE crates. Villages are common in this pack. Also in many villages...

Mob farm clipping problem, what to do?

Wow. Strange problem. I get mob clipping on my farms sometimes, but that's when they're overcrowded with cows waiting to be slaughtered. I don't have a solid theory, just two shots in the dark : 1) Hit F9 once or twice and verify you're not crossing chunk boundaries. 2) Make your kill / drop...

How far could I get in Infinity: Expert mode skyblock.

Oh ? That's strange. I've played through the beginning of this pack twice. One time I made RC Coke Oven (coal --> coal coke) and then IE Blast Furnace (iron --> steel). This time, I made IE Coke Oven (only) and never made an RC Coke Oven.

Struggling to make RF with Infinity Evolved...need ideas for big power!

@rhn @Chris Becke @Pyure Regarding "producing for efficiency vs. producing for plutonium" design of reactors, there are some packs such as IE:E which require a ton of Plutonium to progress. And, by the time one is making or close to making a lot of plutonium, a reliable source of Uranium has...

Struggling to make RF with Infinity Evolved...need ideas for big power!

Awesome !! Few things in modded MC feel better than getting an IC2 reactor up, running, and stable. You could, but that would be incredibly inefficient. Rather, use a 5-chamber design like this: Ic2ExpReactorPlanner ...

It's not 'grindy' in the same way as GregTech is 'grindy'. However, you *will* need to spend a lot of time in mods you may not want to be spending in. For me, I don't really enjoy Witchery or Blood Magic *as much as Thaumcraft or Botania*, so I guess you could consider time spent in those mods...

Is there a block that teleports you?

RFTools 'Transmitter' and 'Receiver' are 1 block each. You will also need a Dialer to link the two and keep the connection open. It costs some small amount of energy to maintain the connection. So, that's 3 blocks for 1 direction of travel. For bi-directional travel that's 'always on', you'll...

Struggling to make RF with Infinity Evolved...need ideas for big power!

That's nearly identical to what I'm using in my pair of 5x5x5 reactors currently. In a fluid reactor, the output is around 5K RF/t. It's the most efficient U-235 fluid reactor I'm aware of. Your/ours is the same in terms of power and efficiency - only difference is placement of two(2) component...
