So... anyone know how to keep bats away..?

How about painting stone half slabs in the EnderIO painting machine so you keep your aesthetic but take away valid spawn pads then?

So... anyone know how to keep bats away..?

Random Things add a lapis lamp that gives light so a player can see but doesn't actually increase the light levels on spawn pads so they keep spawning. You need the opposite of that; not sure if it currently exists in any mods. Not a great fix but you could put cursed earth at some other...

So... anyone know how to keep bats away..?

What about blocks that can't act as spawn pads such as ice?

One Ingot to rule them all, and in the darkness bind them - or something!

Yeah, I always do that but often I find it does nothing.

I'm glad the unifier worked in this case for you. Be warned it is sketchy at best. I've tried to use it to unify rubies from Project Red/BoP/GregTech and not gotten anywhere even though they are all ore dict'ed.

Getting an MFR Planter to Work with Natura Saplings?

You're thinking of Thaumcraft's silverwood trees. Yup, the harvester handles them just fine. Again, silverbells from Natura not Silverwoods from TC. Not much to chop per tree 4-5 logs tops.

Getting an MFR Planter to Work with Natura Saplings?

Specifically, I want to use silverbell logs and saplings an masse for a large build. Is it possible to make the MFR realize these are plantable? The harvester harvests them fine. I prefer not to use the EnderIO farming station at this point in my game so I'm really just interested in...

Yet another Rotary canundrum: Magnetostatic engine

I'm with you up until the no switching claim. Stage 1 requires 512Nm of torque so 4,194,304W at 512Nm of torque means our maximum rotational speed for stage 1 is then 8,192 rad/s. Using the equations from: http://rotarycraft.wikia.com/wiki/Extractor stage 1's operation time in ticks would be...

    MFR-Treefarm inside a Natura Redwood-Tree

Or you could use facades from EnderIO to replace the bark blocks with facades painted to look like bark. That way your base would never be touching a tree and thus be safe.

Yet another Rotary canundrum: Magnetostatic engine

You'll actually need a second in order to get enough juice to run the extractor at 1 operation/tick. No need to fool with resistors, you need 100% of what both batteries can deliver and the induction motor needs an inductive upgrade. Just right click the placed motor in the world with an...

Yet another Rotary canundrum: Magnetostatic engine

I skipped lossy wires and went straight to insulated superconducting wires.

Yet another Rotary canundrum: Magnetostatic engine

Huh, interesting. My last RoC world was jet fuel powered and I made a jet fuel factory in Last Millenium using stabilized spawners running magma cubes and wither skellies both on ME level controllers. The mobs get slaughtered by a melee turtle using a Looting V, Reaper V wyvern sword (with no...

Yet another Rotary canundrum: Magnetostatic engine

Do you have ElectriCraft and ComputerCraft installed? I have my extractor powered by an induction motor with the inductive ingot upgrade so it can handle electricity from 2 batteries. This lets me feed it 536MW (yes you read that correctly, MW) which I then convert with CVT to 512Nm of touque...

    Question about the Ender Quarry.

In my experience the top most source block of water or lava is left behind leaving frankly a gigantic and disappointing mess to clean up manually. Sometimes it is every other source block of lava left behind.

Where are my [Pristine] Queens going?

I agree with malicious_bloke. I've switched to SFM for all my bee automation b/c it is so amazing more flexible and powerful than even EnderIO item conduits. Plus I've become addicted to sneaky pipes.

    Newbie Suggestions/Help Please

I have been supremely happy with shockbyte for the last 5 months now. Rock solid, fast, cheap, and we can customize the pack however we like, restart worlds at a whim, add and pull mods just like a local instance, and do a full world download. 2GB could get the job done if the machine wasn't...

    Newbie Suggestions/Help Please

Profiling does only happen once on the server immediately following starting up a new world. Anytime we start a new world on a remote server, at least the ops get an achievement from Mystcraft called "Ding! Profiling Complete!".

    Newbie Suggestions/Help Please

If you are all playing on a LAN, then I don't think $20/month to rent a server is worthwhile provided you have a computer that can act as the server and handle the modpack you pick. If you do decide to rent a server, I very highly recommend 8GB from shockbyte for $20/mo. It handles Infinity...

How high up the Kardashev scale can you realistically get in MC?

Energy in a chunk eh. Okay sounds fun to me. Solar expansion's ultimate solar panel puts out 2^15 RF/t so we'll naturally put a roof of those up at build limit. So we are already up to 2^15*2^4*2^4 = 2^23 RF/t. Next we can't do much better than ReC fusion reactors all the way down to bedrock...

How high up the Kardashev scale can you realistically get in MC?

Actually I assumed you were right because most everything else in RoC is power of 2 and bitshifting so it made sense to me. Working through it was a good exercise though.
