Wizards' Rule #2: Harm can result from good intention

At a glance that ability sounds freaking neato tho :p
I have used the wand so much under water in the past to fix the sea floor etc. After some major teraforming I could always just equal trade some sand in with rightclick and paint some random details with dirt with left click. Sad to see another another awesome TC3 tool functionality somewhat messed up...

Replace water with dirt. Dig down until you either hit water or what you want. Equal trade what you want. Go back up, replacing dirt with water. It's just not as easy as before, but it sure as hell isn't much harder. Just takes more work and thinking.

Lol. Not sure if this is a joke. I am talking about changing/repairing the sea-floor of oceans like this:

And yes that is bedrock that you can spot in the lower left of the corner. Sure am not going to fill that in with dirt to be able to "equal trade" something :p Simply easier to just mine it out and replace it the old fashion way then. But a hell of a lot harder than just a swim with the wand :(

Doesn't Remote IO or Random Things have an item that works like the wand of equal trade? I don't know how it reacts to water though.

Ahh yeah, the Block Replacer from Random things. Destroys the items that are replaced, but not really an issue in this case. Might give that a go.

EDIT: Yeah it works underwater, but it replaces one block at the time only. And has this annoying "feature" of using the same button(rightclick) to replace buttons and open up its menu. So when you are replacing lots of blocks and just happen to point and click at one out of range you open up the damn menu :p
But still better than mining out and placing in every block manually I guess.

Hehe, doing some experimenting and smeltery drains work to get liquids from mariculture crucibles. Awesome. I thought they would and I am glad they do!

No they don't. I wanted to use those because you can right click them to let the fluid out. That's what I wanted mainly and fluiducts can't do that.
They can't? Put a pneumatic servo on the fluiduct, cover it with a cover and put a lever on that. Configure the servo for redstone control. Right-click the lever if you want to draw.

However, that way you'll lose some control in the amount of liquid the fluiduct sucks in; pouring only 1 ingot worth would be close to impossible.

It would actually be easier with the fluiducts to do that. The smeltery drains pour while the source tank still has fluid and the target tank still has space left in it no matter how much fluid that means transferring.

Today I discovered that I'm either really dense and can't find info in wikis anymore, or else there truly isn't any way to remove a foci from a wand in Thaumcraft 4.1 once you've put it on.

There are a few vague references found to "Shift+F" which didn't work, however, due to personal preference I long ago re-assigned the F key to my Modular PowerSuit, and thus I change wand foci using the R key instead. Shift+R does not do anything for me, and in the keybindings there is no entry for "remove foci" so I can't set a keystroke for it.

Sneak and use the key you have bound. If it doesn't work, go with the original keybind. If that still doesn't work, I have no clue.

Baby villagers can't be sacrificed on a blood altar, at least with a dagger.

Could this be...ethics?

No baby creatures can be sacrificed, regardless of being a villager or not. Soul isn't strong enough to be used as fuel if I'm remembering Way's MCF post correctly.

Lamp of growth does in fact, impede the growth of ore berry bushes... not help them.[DOUBLEPOST=1403805903][/DOUBLEPOST]

you have to have a second foci to switch it with. You cannot take it off with nothing to replace it with. also, you have to hold 'f' until the entire switch is finished.
