1.5.1 Beta Pack: Are U Looking Forward To It?

Harvester works on EEEEVVVRRRRYYYTHING. It works on Pam's Crops and Mark's Crops now too. Watch the compat logs as your MC instance starts. It's really amazing.

I'm going to aim for using them very early in my Let's Play, now. Here's hoping!

1.5.1 Beta Pack: Are U Looking Forward To It?

But remember, The Competition Is Not Other Mods. It's Nether Lava. It doesn't matter what other mods are doing if they're off on some crazy tangent right now (e.g., SirSengir's very very not-worth-the-time multifarms). If it's more work for less power than a Nether Lava setup, there is a problem.

Greg: hates fuel. But I don't have/want PowerConverters and I wanted EU so um... That said, I don't mind that much. Know why? RedNet is better than everything else ever. MFR is in my pack just for rednet and decorative blocks forever.

1.5.1 Beta Pack: Are U Looking Forward To It?

I used MFR farms. I used MFR to harvest (60 MJ per harvest), AE to store and transport (.2 MJ to get in and then out). So i am at like 60.4 * 9 = 543.6 MJ used. Those 9 materials make 1.44 buckets of biofuel = 288k MJ, net out 287k and tip your waitress the change. I don't know how you don't...

The jar files. Hence I don't upload. I do use git to manage server deploys, as well.

1.5.1 Beta Pack: Are U Looking Forward To It?

I don't upload the pack to github often. No point. Git is a great tool for local work.

1.5.1 Beta Pack: Are U Looking Forward To It?

People keep talking about this setup, but every time I build it it seems like total garbage that never self-powers when looped back on itself via MJ or EU. I've seen it work when also powered via AdvancedSolars. It CAN produce energy. It's just not the perpetual system a boiler+SC2 farm is. Of...

1.5.1 Beta Pack: Are U Looking Forward To It?

I agree. I do not understand why everyone is doing this. Dear King Lemming, please tell them the next time you see them their competition is Lava. :\

Low output without a huge number of crops. Lower output than stills. Its speed actually worked against it; it was hard to keep it continuously stocked. It is a tool for bonus energy, not primary energy. The changes we're seeing only reinforce that.

Is Java a gift to modders?

This is a function of your ability. If anything, your ability is counteracting Java's tendency to produce brittle code. It is definitely okay for someone to say this.

1.5.1 Beta Pack: Are U Looking Forward To It?

I actually agree that Iron Chests are a little too good for the cost. AE is great and all, but it gives you 99 problems. The modpack I've built uses Metallurgy/Precious's system, which makes upgraded chests substantially more expensive and only made from precious metals. I suppose I could see...

1.5.1 Beta Pack: Are U Looking Forward To It?

It's even more useless now. The BioReactor has always sucked and the only way people got it to not suck was to exploit the duplicate stack trick and tweak the MFR config to allow for the use of super-huge EBXL trees. Honestly tho I am sort of confused what all these modders are thinking. Their...

Is Java a gift to modders?

I agree, but this is not an argument for or against whitespace sensitivity. It's an argument for what kind of indications are suitable. It was a pile of hurt a decade ago. The industry has unquestionably settled on spaces. Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Sony, Id, Nvidia, Intel, even most EA...

Is Java a gift to modders?

I'm not a fan of Lua or Python myself outside limited use cases, but dude. This is a funny place to draw the line. :D Java is valuable inasmuch as it's a way to transition more people to Scala and Clojure. Both languages are excellent and eminently practical for high speed software (provided...

    Dumb Modular Powersuit Tricks

Man, these new heat mechanics. Brutal. You know what? No. I'm not caving into your multi-title peer pressure. I get like 400 downloads a week of that video and people trying to reproduce it (even though it's no longer possible). It's too bad I never published the video of what you could...

My Resonant Rise Let's Play (Resonant Rise Modpack)

So I've started a server let's play with my modpack with the illustrious WayOfTime. He recorded, I recorded, a good time was had. Episode 1 in Way of Time's stream: Episode 2 in Way of Time's stream: Episode 3 in my stream (new episode!):
