Nano Saber vs Sharpness V diamond sword

We do have frying pans that do like 3 hearts of damage, magical hats, gregtech 3.03a, and hand-wielded fireballs.

Nano Saber vs Sharpness V diamond sword

    That's a 1.5.1 server, so no.

    Ars Magica

That'd be sad. He's barely gotten started with his current world. He's nowhere near where he was when he stopped season 4.

    Ars Magica

So far even FTB doesn't have permission to distribute Ars Magica. Only DW20. And he's said on at least 4 occasions I can think of offhand that he intends to fold it into his pack. But his single player pack is in a really bad place. It effectively cannot be updated without destroying a lot of...

Is Java a gift to modders?

Actually they're exceptionally useful for capturing enumeration patterns and for doing things that you'd normally do much more pedantically. For example, registering callbacks is trivialized by syntactically cheap lambdas. A pragmatic example: lambdas are ideal for registering "hooks" and...

Is Java a gift to modders?

This pattern is very common in systems that alternate between high and low level concerns. It's not a bad approach.

Solid Boilers after 1.5.1. Wood source?

Having personally run 7 boilers from one less-than-a-chunk treecart setup, I suspect you're doing something quite wrong here. I am not sure exactly what without inspecting your build, but I assure you that you can run multiple boilers from even a modest size treefarm if you set it up correctly...

Is Java a gift to modders?

Btw, of the three, only Lua is really "simple". But Ruby would be easiest to integrate with the existing minecraft codebase for reasons given above.

Is Java a gift to modders?

This is not 1995. Lambdas are no longer optional for programming. Even amateurs want and use them. I am not flaming. I'm telling you what actually happened with GVR. And when I called him out on it, he was not happy. But even then, you shouldn't take a candid and forthright assessment of a...

Is Java a gift to modders?

No. Python is the creation and child of the spectacularly disingenuous Guido Van Rossum, who will simultaneously post about how lambdas confuse him on his public channels while engaging in deep discussions of applied type theory in private mailing lists. Its culture is the "There is Only One Way...

Solid Boilers after 1.5.1. Wood source?

MFR already works for all this at a fraction of the cost.

Solid Boilers after 1.5.1. Wood source?

Fun fact, no other farming system is built expecting/demanding you constantly reset quarries. I do not want that. I actually am not even a fan of hands-free automatic mining, personally. That's my choice, but Forestry seems built around mandating I am constantly cutting a massive hole in a world...

    Modular Powersuits

It absolutely does and it absolute always has. The problem was it was a tier 1 battery. A treetap was an easy thing to prove it with. New versions let you change the IC2 battery tier.

    Dumb Modular Powersuit Tricks

This is why your strategy of letting external plugins do the work is exactly right. The answer is, "No. But a plugin could do this and that'd be wonderful." For example, what if you could have a dimensional door drive that let you enter into a custom Dimensional Door instance! It'd be a Ride...

    Dumb Modular Powersuit Tricks

Also: stop thinking small. What about a power tool addon that lets you connect to remote computercraft turtles via normal rednet! THINK BIG.

Is Java a gift to modders?

Doesn't this argument lead to Lua, though? And Lua, unlike Python, does not have a contemptuous and self-loathing culture.

Solid Boilers after 1.5.1. Wood source?

I've built several now. But compared to MFR or SC2 farms they've never been worth the effort or resource investment. They also seem to flip out after server resets. On more than one occasion I've found them in a state where I had to put down a block next to them to wake them up. But most...

Nano Saber vs Sharpness V diamond sword

Enchanted Vanilla weapons do more damage normally than the nano-saber. The Nano saber claims to have a special effect on IC2 armors, which makes it desirable for that specific use case.

Solid Boilers after 1.5.1. Wood source?

Yeah but compared to everything else in the pack, they're awkward, slow, and stupid, and require huge sums of dirt. It's weird that forestry is the LEAST environment friendly farm. Personally, I think the tree breeding mechanics are dumb and boring and bad gameplay. I probably won't ever do...
