No, MFR always uses the default/vanilla recipes unless you or your pack maintainer changes it. We do not do mod auto-detection for recipe sets.

Ahh ok I stand corrected, FTB obv did that, anyway they do fit, almost, the fruit picker is gobsmackingly expensive... 8 titanium plates.

Part of the fun for me is making just enough of an item, not 2 billion of it :)

Agree. I like making efficient systems. So I tend to pre-fab anything that takes time to produce (stuff like charcoal, ingots, carbon plates, etc.) and only in a certain fixed amount that's enough for my use but doesn't fill up my entire storage.

My walnut farm for example turns off when there's any walnuts in storage. Walnuts in storage means my seedoil tank is full :)

Am I being a hipster for being slightly sad that MFR is on Forgecraft 1 now?
:p

Time to make a blaze grinder that uses sewage.

On my last day of highschool a month ago, I decided to leave 20$ on my teacher desk and carry my chair-desk out of the door and out of school with me. I had this one chair that i really loved. And I got pretty far with it and then they caught me and told me to bring it back. The reaction was funny though, I guess it's just that unexpected.

Highschool? Kids, off my lawn, etc.

For the multitude of you talking about textures, soartex has some pretty sweet MFR textures.

So MFR grinders can get essence from soul shard critters, and not that you should ever need to but you can get soul shard kills from a MFR grinder.

Did I mention that the auto-enchanter is really, really strong?

Holy cross-mod exploits, Batman!

No, it's just that soul shards not requiring any (or much of any in 1.5) upkeep is overpowered. I still support it because people want me to, but don't blame the processing half when you have an infinite source.

It's ok, you had six months to like it before it was cool :p

Sometimes when nobody's home I poop in the air vent for the air conditioning in the floor, and pretend I'm saving trees.

Its like a living being made from meat blocks infused with mob essence. Then when you put all that sewage in it it starts to shake from disguest and the machine captures that vibration into energy!

Ok, maybe thats alittle wierd :)

So I built a tree farm.

First I did it the wrong way with one dirt block over a planter and chicken sewage for fertilizer. The results were adequate but it was going to be a challenge to make enough fertilizer to keep up.

Then I figured out how to use the mod the right way, ditched the fertilizer entirely and got an emerald range upgrade for the planter and the harvester. Hole. E. Sheet. Folks, would you like some wood? You get this absolutely huge field of whatever is in the planter and the trees grow fast enough that one harvester can't keep up, no need to worry about fertilizer. To the creator of Steve's Carts, no hard feelings but I think it's time we start seeing other peope.

Fair warning though, a max sized MFR tree farm may melt weaker computers due to being colossal and dangerously fast.

I'd like to talk about that :
  • Added: XP Extractor
Hey cool... I can finally get some Mob essence from my XP. The liquid XP system is now complete.

Then i've seen what it was.

... Nope ... That looks painful...

And that's why i've never used it and will never use it. Why Powercrystals, Why?

LOL, that is a mod that nerfed itself into obscurity. I even tried making the top tier tree cart and stopped because it just wasn't worth it. I can't even give away my re-enforced hull and galgadorian eyes on the server. No one wants to even touch that mod

Honestly, I never wanted to touch that mod in 1.4.x either. It's not a matter of nerfed or not nerfed, it's simply a matter of 'we have Railcraft... why do we need this again?'

I really like Steve's carts and the recipes definately are a bit extreme. When I was in mid game on one world I could handle the galgadorian farm and woodcutter without decimating my supplies (actually, I had been lucky with Diamonds and I rarely go mob hunting so Spider eyes became the limiting factor). But looking through the recipe for the drill and it is really quite extreme. Maybe there could be a "casual recipes" option in the config for those who want to build fun rail based systems without having to spend ages getting that many diamonds and ghast tears.

One thing I will say though when it comes to Steve's carts. Mdiyos mods are complementary because Tinker's contructs makes it easier to get fortune picks and natura makes spending time hunting ghasts in the nether a bit less boring (biomes o plenty does a similar thing).
