Something I think many people would enjoy is a mod pack that is modeled after what Direwolf uses. He's the one that led me to FTB and all I want is a way to play a modpack that is as similar to the one his server uses as possible. I understand that the server has access to many mods that are in beta and that the public don't have access to but most of the mods he's currently using are available.

btocoolman, It's already been said, in this thread, that Direwolf is being given control of his own modpack to be distributed through the FTB launcher, which he plans on using for his fans to follow along with him.

I haven't found any recent posts about ccsensors. It was a cool little add-on for computer craft. It allowed you to get information about the sensors surroundings. So you could remotely observe a engine/reactor temperature, engine fuel, if any monsters were around, items inside chests etc. It basically gave you all the information you could get by being there without having to be there. I like this idea because I want to make a control room where I can observe my factories, refineries, and quarrys remotely and interact with them with a computer if I need to. I can't seem to get any of the older versions of ccsensors I find to work with FTB.

Just a small question like that, okay maybe a couples of questions ;) as I understand there will be like 4 modpack : tech, lite, magic and ultimate; My question is : what is the beta right now, just a beta or the representation of the ultimate mod pack? Or as I understand it's the mods that will be used for the feed the beast map?
I'm getting a little bit confused and I guess i'm not the only one, are we suggesting mods for all of those packs or the mod for the FTB map?

The current beta is somewhat between the pack for the maps and the ultimate one. Some mods might be dropped, others might be added.

Custom Ore Generation

Rather then have the ore's scattered in small clumps, this mod makes them into large veins that are spread very far apart. (Supports all the mod ore types, and any other blocks also). You end up having to travel (or in SMP, trade) to find all the ore's you want, and have a mine for each type.

I'd just like to also throw my support in for this mod, though I haven't tried it myself if it works the way it's meant to then this is brilliant, cobbled with Greg Tech's gem generation this would make my server users run around like mad things trying to get ore, and would result in some very interesting trading dynamics. Plus from an evil server admin point of view (which I won't lie, I am an evil server admin), it would be fun to watch, imagine the cries of pain as they struggle to find iron!

As I understand it, EVERYONE is being given control over their own modpack. I don't know how it'll work, but anyone will be able to create their own modpack and share it with friends (who have FTB/a Minecraft account). Dire's will simply be shared with more people than anyone else.

I would really like to see Nether Ores included in the ultimate pack. It gives players a good reason to explore the Nether, to get more dense ore (cooking yields double, maceration quadruple), however this doesn't come without risk; Not only would you face the normal conditions of the Nether, ores can explode when mined and can cause the Zombie Pig Men to become very upset.

Just been testing the latest mod from VIII ~ Ultimate Display Chest (http://forum.minecraftuser.jp/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=4959&p=65917#p65917)

From what I've tried and translated from the website (via chrome Jap>Eng) like his last display chests it shows on top what single items in contained but this new one when fueled with Lapis Lazuli it is capable of storing upto 2,147,483,647 of one item.
I don't foresee FTB adding a mod with zero English support. Looks cool, though.

After you configure all the id's it surprisingly works with FTB. But I removed it because the cyclops were annoying :([DOUBLEPOST=1354594497][/DOUBLEPOST]Iron pressure plates: There are two plates, the iron one, basically like the obsidian ones you have now but there is also an advanced one that you can customize what it can be triggered by, its password based and you can also specify which players can set it off. This would be cool for at least one of your packs

I like the sound of this. Currently there are very few reasons to go to the nether. Really any mod that adds to the nether would be welcome. Right now it's just a pit stop to get glow stone, blaze rods and lava.

As the current developer of TreeCapitator, I'm working on adding additional options to try and balance out the mod. If you can provide any points on what makes TreeCap unbalanced in the eyes of the powers that be, I will absolutely be listening and taking valid suggestions under consideration.

Edit: I should have searched through the thread before I posted (obviously)... I see now that the reason it won't be considered is to favor a custom item from another mod (which makes sense).

I think that are great ideas. Especially the block support function, maybe a option to only enable treecapacitator for the chainsaw, what I consider as a higher tier item.

That's already possible with the config for item IDs.
