What's wrong with Advanced Power Management? This is the mod that handles charging benches, though it seems to do a few more things as well. This is sort of a "standard" mod to have along with industrialcraft, hence I am wondering why it isn't in the pack already.

Enchanting Plus
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1528282-142132sspsmp-enchanting-plus-v1110/

Don't you hate vanilla minecraft's enchanting system? You can't tell what enchantments you are going to get on that diamond pickaxe until after it's enchanted, and once done can't be undone. Well, this mod lets you decide what to spend those experience levels on. It doesn't add enchantments to the game, just lets you control what gets put on stuff. It also lets you remove enchantments from tools and weapons, or transfer the enchantments from one item to another.Of the mods out there that alter vanilla minecraft's enchantment system this one is my preference because it doesn't add enchantments or a way to craft bottles o' enchanting. It mostly just manages the existing enchantments intelligently.

The mod is already updated for Minecraft 1.4.2. It doesn't specifically state a policy regarding modpacks in the op. It does say specifically to ask the mod author, mssodin28 (or he also goes by odininon) for permission to host or mirror the mod.

Custom Ore Generation
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1107057-142v1-custom-ore-generation-updated-nov-6th/
Rather then have the ore's scattered in small clumps, this mod makes them into large veins that are spread very far apart. (Supports all the mod ore types, and any other blocks also). You end up having to travel (or in SMP, trade) to find all the ore's you want, and have a mine for each type.

A gold vein with the default settings:

MineColony,
There are the issues that its been abandoned by the developers, but if it were to be updated in the spare time by a member, it would add a WHOLE NEW ELEMENT to the FTB pack/game. Who wouldnt want to build a city and ACTUALLY have the "villagers" be useful. It includes lumberjacks, miners, farmers, and they actually work!

I just want to put a +1 vote for the Transformers v1.3 mod that is on the maybe/maybe not list (It is also up to 1.6 now and works with 1.4.x - http://forum.industrial-craft.net/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=5789).

The reasoning is that it is a mod that has had some thought into the balance between MJ and EU. It also allows for a more complete MJ to EU conversion than the generator in Forestry - using this mod it allows for the generation of EU using Oil and Fuel as opposed to only Forestry Biofuel - having a fuel-guzzling electric generator is cool!!!.

Would be a really bad idea for balancing the FTB map.

I'll be honest, I hadn't thought too much about the FTB maps and was thinking more about the mods in general. One thing I like about the forestry BC <--> IC machines is that there is inefficiency converting between the two power systems. Perhaps a better option than Transformers would be an oil/fuel equivalent of the Forestry BioGenerator.

Not that it exists currently, but would that take care of balance issues in the FTB map?

There is a reason why converting is a bit limited and inefficient, it makes it more challenging.

MAtmos

MAtmos is a sound atmosphere generator for Minecraft. Whenever you play on any multiplayer server or in singleplayer, it looks at your surroundings and generates natural noises as a soundscape, such as birds chirpling in the forest, rumbling noises near a lava lake or wind gusts on a hilltop. This fills out the perpetual silence of Minecraft.

Adds a lot to the ambience :) Already updated for 1.4.2.

So "Trains and Zappeling mod" isn't going to be included, however "Trains mod" is. When I tried looking for it, what was formerly known as Trains and Zeppelin is now known as plainly Trains... So is the same mod or is a completely different mod? If it is a completely different mod, could someone provide me with a link as to what is the correct Trains mod?

Mod Name: Custom Recipes
Mod Link: http://www.planetminecraft.com/mod/customrecipes/

OR ANYTHING WITH THE SAME FUNCTIONALITY

Reason For Inclusion: It's not for a general boost! It's for filling the gaps between Mods.
Let's give some examples. You currently can't use ExtraBiomesXL Saplings to create IC2 Plantballs or ExtraBiomesXL Planks for a IC2 Treetap. You can't use ThermalExpansion Rockwool for a Forestry Scoop.
With CustomRecipes and a predefined FTB recipe list you could increase the compatibility between all the Mods of the modpack.

In the long run it would of course be best to implement more compatibility classes in Forge where mod developers can register their new resources so they can fully substitute each other on the crafting tables and other machines.

Oh, i see what u plan to do xD, that is indeed awesome u have my Vote! for this

Oh my mod had getten some more features latly:
  • Big IC2 Cable recipe (Use Rubber Block& Copper Block to make 56 coppercable at ones)
  • Support for mutiple Addons: Railcraft, Forestry, Ic2 & MFFS
  • If the Block you condense is a Fuel the outcomming block is also an fuel with the potential strenght (you can set an efficiency modifier in the config like 95% (coal has 8000 fuel units, with effi 95% setted you would become a coal block with 9*8000*0.95 = 68400(istead of 72 000) & you can turn it off in the config
  • Also if you enable it in the config you can smelt an dense coal block (9*9 coal(81)) to one diamond. (like as in ic but without many steps but with more coal)
  • And i addet Burn values for Wheat, Sugarcane & Cacti (can also be turned off in the config)
  • Did i mention that you can disable the features in the config? ;)

Mod name:
Aperture Science Turtle Upgrades

link:
Link

It adds extra turtle upgrades to the game. They're all very balanced, but add some features to turtles that have been requested a lot. For example database turtles: they allow the turtle to detect items and blocks without breaking the 4th wall.
