Stop suggesting mods that aren't in 1.4.2
??? I can see a 1.4.2 download at that link, but even so, given this is a list of suggested addons to the pack and the pack will upgrade itself shortly, surely the fact that link also contains downloads for 1.4.4 and 1.4.5 is even better?

Which is why, I would assume, he wasn't proposing that version be added.

That's the official forum, so I wouldn't trust some random link that says its for 1.4.2, it's not official and it's probably not even for 1.4.2

Despite being more or less compatible all things that add world gen conflict in a way. The worlds just end up wonky. Although I have heard of someone beginning to get mods working it may take a while for whoever it is to move through EBXL.

We have been trying to get it as a third party pack but unfortunately Bioxx won't respond so I'm guessing he is either very busy or is just attempting to ignore it. Dunk won't respond either (assistant Dev).

The ICBM mod
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1206144-145-icbm-missiles-and-military-tech-220000-downloads/

It adds an nice gameplay for people who have war with each other on a server, it also adds his own kind of power and his own kind of generators/cables/etc. The only thing is that maybe there should be an propertie file for it so server admins can turn it off.

The Universal electricity mod
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic...lectricity-a-modular-electricity-modding-api/

It is used for more power and electricity stuff, its very handy and has an few addons (like ICBM)

The Herblore Mod
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1050087-125-herblore-mod-v13-ssp-now-with-config/

It adds trading weed and other druggs with Villagers and on servers it adds nice cop/gang gameplay which make the server more alive and exciting, deal your stuff and farm it in illegal underground drugs labs.

The Paintball mod
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/309199-145v2-paintball-bug-fixes/

Nice to build special paintball areana's and while the weapons are less lethal you still have the fun of shooting each other without many server ruining.

Please take a look at these mods and consider using them.

Its a forum, and as I understand it, the OP is from the guy that originally wrote the code. However, the code is open source and has been forked, all legit and official like.

Thaumcraft 3
It looks like there are plans for this to be added but I don't see it on the list.
Thread here: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1228876-wip-thaumcraft-3/ (Not Much Info)
His YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/azanor1?feature=results_main (Great Teaser Videos)

Backpacks
I believe Forestry has backpacks (I'm going to see if I can disable them) I don't quite like the recipe. I really like the recipe Backpacks uses, also the cost for the large pack is really good. 2 leather + 7 string = 1 bound leather, then cook to get Tanned Leather. You can also dye them, and it includes a Ender Backpack. You can change the size in the settings if you think it's OP.

Damage Indicators
This is a visual thing, but I find it so super useful. It also helps you get used to how much damage everything does. This would also benefit if any other weapons get added.
Thread: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic...lat-damage-indicators-v115-bukkit-compatible/

I may add more later...

Thaumcraft 3
-snip-

Damage Indicators
-snip

Right, as far as I am aware:

Thaumcraft will be added once the mod is complete. It's been suggested a lot of times already. It's already been said that it will be in. Many times...

Damage Indicators will not be added. It's also been said before and I am pretty sure you will read about it in this thread, if you look for it. (here)

Why? That also has been said, even in this topic (like, the very first post). Or at least on these forums.

Not sure about the backpacks, though.

For everyone else that wants to suggest a mod, I strongly suggest reading the thread(s). Many suggestions are being duplicated, which is tiny bit annoying to read. And if you can't be bothered, at least give a look at the the first post for guideline. JadedCat explained briefly, what kind of mods are unlikely to get into the modpack. This pretty much covers things like the damage indicators, and other 'fancy' stuff.

If you can't even do that...

The ICBM mod
-snip-

It's also been said (and many times suggested), that ICBM is not going to make it into the main modpack. It may, however, get into the side-pack (source)

MiscPeripherals. It's been suggested in the first page but didn't get any response.

(or am I not allowed to suggest it myself as a developer of it?)

EDIT: Confirmed by Slowpoke himself

I can confirm that Slowpoke said "Yea, we can throw it in."

Lava Fix Mod (1.4.5 mod)

This mod makes the physics for Minecraft's lava less likely to get stuck when you remove the lava's source block.
I think good have mod in pack until this will fixed in minecraft.

I'd like to suggest IDResolver and of course GuiAPI, which IDResolver is dependent on.

If it was added to the modpack by default, it would avoid issues like this happening: http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/idresolver-reveals-ftb-modpack-id-conflict.2313/

IDResolver could be installed by default with the modpack to assign proper priority levels to mods allowing them to overwrite IDs they are designed to replace. This would also help avoid issues when users decide to start using the 'Edit Mod Pack' button to remove mods or add some of their own favorites.

you dont need IDResolver and GuiAPI
