I get made fun of by the group of people I play Minecraft with for being good with machinery and all the FTB stuff, but never bothering to even make an actual house (Imagine wooden shed for my nuclear reactor).

So, for the first time, I proved em' wrong.

EDIT: See if you can spot where my laziness is still showing

Well for one, your boiler room has no building material for walls or ceiling. Also in the first pic, there's a house with dirt as a roof... I think you should probably fix that.

Haha lol! I properly should've done a top down view, the grass on the roof of the house is like a rooftop garden, it has stone paths running around the edges! ^_^ But yeah, my library is completely unfinished because I have no reeds (should've thought of that before making a library), and most of the rooms inside the house are, um, a bit bare on furnishings... But it looks alright from the outside, so I'll skip fixing it! :D

Time for my 3rd or 4th base in this thread as I'm thinking of moving on my current base and starting something new; might as well share before I move on :)

I like your laser room, pardon me as I steal the design >_<! heh, my own is just sitting out in the open, and here I could have done that cool build... it's engines on every side yea?

Hey Ako how did you get the steamboilers to auto pump steam into the engines? It's not doing it for me following your setup...

To all that posted, yes I'm using sphax 64x for 1.5.2 on DW20 1.5.2 v2, that is a hydra made from nagastone and which one are you reffering to, I use a lot of lights. There's wrathlamps, Lux generators, glowstone illuminators, road lights (inverted)

Edit: NM I figured it out, turns out I needed to turn them on for them to accept steam, boy do I feel goofy..

I just noticed I forgot one detail in my previous post. The blue ones with the black border. The ones you seemed to have spam all over the place.

Hi thanks, There's 18 engines to a boiler so 3 sides, and as for steam going in; once you have a redstone signal on the engines the steam should automatically go in if they're touching the boiler, if I remember right the steam doesn't go in until you first turn the engines on.[DOUBLEPOST=1378278143][/DOUBLEPOST]

Alright here goes,
Never really bothered with the look of things and mostly went for functional. If something was needed, it was added. Not sooner and not later. Ofcourse this meant for some messy 'designs' in the end. This time I came around I plotted a nice piece of land and went off building.

It is still quite a WIP as you can see.

I am not taking screenshots of every angle just yet, that will have to wait till the rooms are operational.
In the center, the big pillar, is the area in which the CORE is going to be. The 'CORE' being nothing more than a vast storage area and logistical network throughout the base mostly in the form of ME with perhaps some liquid piping and/or cabling for energy.
In the front, hwere you see the two ME cables sticking out, is the Auto Crafting area. There are 8 of them in there. Each is 4x4x4, has 1 pattern provider and the rest is CPU's. in the opposing room there are Steam ovens, for mass cooking all food that will come in from farms. Only cooking though, no melting.
Above the Ovens are three Liquid Fireboxes HL Boilers. 3x3x4. All of them have their own water pump, Liquid Tesseract and piping. One boiler powers the Steam Ovens down below, and the two other boilers power 9 Industrial Steam Engines. Their power is stored in RedStone power cells for later use when the base is more complete.
Each level starts with a row of chiseled Quartz. As you can see, this means there are three rooms in the back and two in the Crafting area.
The level that is above the crafting area and the Steam Ovens, is going to be part of the logistical network. The height is minimal in comparison to other rooms and walking in them without ever having to cross a cable is impossible. This level will be used to pump liquids throughout the base as well as be the skeleton of the ME network, where the central Spiral is representing its backbone.
Everything that comes into the base is first routed to the CORE and later distributed throughout the base in upcoming rooms.
Not all space is accounted for yet, so suggestions on what kind of rooms I can implement are welcome.
Currently the following rooms are accounted for:

-AutoCrafting room +potentional upgrade
-Food Ovens
-Boiler area
-Power gen MJ
-Power gen EU
-Thaumcraft is to be considered, due to the tech feel of the base
-Liquid processing plant
-Biofuel/plant material processing
