like the others said, lux capacitors they are pretty sexy cause they act like torches but everywhere, my gal and I shot lux(s) at each other one day that is why they are spamed XD

But I have several small AE systems working off a major system, I really like it. My bee's are on it, my production line of cyclonic assemblers are on one, that's my factory settup, then I have one that is at the mining plant but it is an extention of the main one. I really do like mini AE builds

Another update!

There has been some major improvement to both the base as well as the environment. I planted some Sakura trees (god they are lovely) and some Willows near the water (they remind me of home).
For the rest there have been a couple of additions:
- The Glasshouse is now a Birch tree farm. There is a TON of wood coming in from 'em.
- I expanded the power storage for my Steam engines. There is a lot more power storage now for the MJ's.
- Some of this power (2x 36 HL Boilers, they can take a beating), is being used to power 8 fermenters, 4 squeezers, 16 Stills and 12 Sawmills.
- The sawmills are being used to saw up most of the birches coming in. Some is kept in back for other purposes later on and the sawdust is being used to create charcoal.
- The Steam ovens are now mostly functional, the main problem is that no dusts and flour is coming in yet to actually put 'em to use. Turns out they can melt anything just fine and I prefer them compared to other ways of cooking stuff. They just are a tad bit more fun and allow for way more access points if omre items need processing.
- I have 2 9x9 3 layer Wheat farms for Ethanol.
- The second layer on top of the ME crafting system now has a functional layout that only needs setting up the import and exports as well as a couple of patterns w/ interfaces to make crafting even more automated. The usual stuff basically.
- The second tier is mostly still infrastructure. Not as much as I would like it yet, but it is getting there slowly.

Some areas still need a purpose and others I will attend to later. Some of these will be a mix of functionality and aesthetics, due to the lack of dedicated machines/entities for certain themed rooms like an armoury.
Here are the pics. I trust the pictures speak for themselves as I do try to keep the purposes of my rooms clear to a certain degree.

If you guys would like, once the base is finished I could give a video tour of the place and go more in dept on how things work and why certain things came out the way they did. Thruth be told, not everything was planned that way.

Long time lurker, thought I would share some with the community. It's not a super complex build, but it's a lot of fun.

Here's the main view, you can see one of my chunks is corrupted, and black stone is showing up like a pukey brown. Not sure what to do about that. The legs are going to be villager apartments, as soon as I light it up better, the last group of renters got their brains eaten up. And now, I'm out at least three nights' worth of trades.

Here's my main floor, still pretty junky, but functional. I'm only using AE for storage now, so no fancy pants setups.

Next level up is for mystcraft, and above that I'm thinking Thaumcraft, but I haven't done any TC this go around.

Finally, the uninteresting basement level, which ended up with more space than I thought it would. Going to construct some boilers down here soon.

I have to say the outline with the scaffolding looks the part. I try to incorportate iron scaffolding into my current base, but it is quite difficult as I didn't think about it before hand with planning the base... So I kinda cannot do that at this point in time.
I would need a 3 layer wall for it to be the way I would want it to look. Which at this point in time is certianly doable, but at no place to be something I want to do right at this moment. basically the only thing I would need to do is plaster two new layer onto the already existing walls from the outside to get the same effect. But at this point in time it has low priority... I do think I will have built it that way before giving naother update though.

Yeah, I ended up liking it better this way. I might close the top off with glass slabs, to simulate the look of an Apiary or Alveary. Of course at the moment I'm focused on breeding bees up, so I can make the last couple machines.

Hello FTB'ers.

I usually keep to myself and browse the forums anon, but I finally got around to uploading an album of my Ultimate 1.1.2 base and wanted to Share.

For the boilers you can just put the liquid tesseract directly ontop of the boiler and put 8 unpowered liquiducts there to save a block of space and make it looks cooler :D
