Actually quantum armour does have 1 big advantage over MPS: it can effectively supply energy for IC2 tools (specifically the vajra, which is a multitool unto itself). While MPS armour can also supply energy to IC2 tools, it only does so from energy in the chest piece, limiting storage capacity to 5m. Also consider that since the MPS:eu ratio is very high. This, combined with the extortionate eu costs of the vajra, will drain the suits battery before you can say 'iridium'.Well, it shouldn't. Quantum armor isn't nearly as good.
Well if mDiyo makes it so mobs can be spawned with random tinkers weapons then quantum protection won't mean much either.
Why would you want to though, when the MPS power tool combines all the IC2 tools? The vajra isn't worth its eu cost even with a gravichestplate. And normal quantum armour doesn't act as a batpack.Actually quantum armour does have 1 big advantage over MPS: it can effectively supply energy for IC2 tools (specifically the vajra, which is a multitool unto itself). Greg recipes made even simple suit parts cost tons of rare resources. That's not balance. That's masochism.Well, it shouldn't. Quantum armor isn't nearly as good.
We had the GT recipes for MPS enabled on AdvancingCraft.
Needless to say, we were pretty quick to change that for Resonant Rise.
Even without flight... try to make armor with Nano-level protection without losing movement speed... And look how fast it will eat the battery...They're actually... and I say this with love for the mod and a healthy respect for MachineMuse... the gregtech recipes are wrong. They're based on assumption that flight is late game and flight is not late game. They're based on an assumption that energy-based armor is late game. It is not late game. In any modpack or modworld I know of that includes gregtech, anyways. People routinely have jetpacks before they have ore processing. People routinely have nano-suits very early.
The TE recipes are much more balanced and reasonable. Even the IC2 recipes are just about right.
Rightclick is your friend.I also find vajras WAY too uncontrollable, can't pinpoint and break one block without destroying others nearby!

Almost everyone on AdvancingCraft did this:
No one ever completed the set because it was hugely more expensive for maybe 4 points of armor and slightly faster flight.
- Make a jetpack. Eventually upgrade to GraviSuite's advanced nanochest.
- Make the MPS boots and legs. These worked great and were not overly expensive. Max advanced armor plating on both.
- Make a MPS helmet and put the biggest battery you could afford to make there. This kept IC2 tools from draining your relatively small helmet battery (the nanochest would be tapped first).

MM Boots have let me die from falling, and some lag causing me to hit the ground too fast and dying would annoy me greatly, so I'll stick with long fall boots. And no way I'm gonna fight with helmet power when I just wear goggles of revealing anyways. Plus I absolutely despise the mm power gauntlet.
I never did make legs on advancing though. They're too good now, even with heat issues. Like way OP good. Start sprinting then take flight with adv nano chest and I can go 2-3k blocks in a matter of seconds before overheating. I've outrun chunk loading on already generated chunks. And even if I stay up in the air too long and catch fire, I can remove the legs (since its the only mm piece I have) and the fire stops. So does the speed, but it gives me the opportunity to find some water to stand in. And during all this, the legs self-generate power in excess of its use.

....OP: Here's one-
ForumPeople: Ninepence.
IC2: (feebly) I'm not dead!
OP: (throwing the IC2 onto the cart) Ah. thanks very much.
ForumPeople: Not at all. See you on Thursday!
OP: Right! All right....
When the little lava bar grows up into a big lava bar (through overusing your weapons), you burn like you're swimming in lava. So no more rocketjumping with the railgun. The railgun is probably the most overheating weapon. Good thing there's heat sinks, but it's extremely heavy and not even maxed out sprint assist can't help youTry right-clicking
I have heard about a certain heat mechanic that's been introduced... how does that work?
