Mod Pack: Direwolf20 (1.0.18)
Mods: IC2, Logistics Pipes, Build Craft Silicon
Whats the bug: Energy Crystals not properly recognized by Crafting Pipes when the 'import' button is used in the pipe GUI.
Can it be repeated: Yes
Details:
I'm making a automatic crafting set-up using IC2; Compressors, Logistics Pipes; Crafting Logistics Pipe Mk3 and BC Silicon: Advanced Crafting Table, and am attempting to create an IC2 MFE.

The Issue is: If you use the Import button in the Crafting Pipe GUI to import the MFE requirements from the Advanced Crafting Table, it imports the 'creative' version of the Energy Crystal. The item ID and meta data is identical to the Energy Crystal created in a Compressor but the pipe will not recognize the Energy Crystal created in the compressor as the same item as the Energy Crystal in the Pipe GUI (the pipe GUI shows 4 stacked crystals, they don't stack normally). Attempting to remotely craft the MFE results in a "Missing: 4 Energy Crystal" dialog.

Testing this, I found that if you use NEI to give yourself an Energy Crystal and then use that crystal in the Crafting Pipe GUI on the Compressor, you can then remote order the MFE with a successful result, but the Pipe attached to the compressor will not recognize the Energy Crystal created within as the same crystal in the GUI and therefore will not pull it out of the Compressor to send to the Advanced Crafting Table.

Known Fix: Use an Energy Crystal created in a Compressor and place it manually in any Crafting Pipe GUI's. DO NOT use the import button.
I'd like to add an addition to this. Since the Crystals do not stack, you have to place them individually in the pipe GUI. So 4 slots with one crystal each. Upon making the request for the MFE to be made the Crafting Pipe will "stack" the first crystal slot in the GUI. This means the MFE crafting pipe will now say it needs a stack of 4 crystals as well as 3 individual ones. The next time you order it will request 7 crystals, and will add the 3 individuals to the 4 stack giving it a stack of 7. This will continue indefinitely with the stack increasing with each order.

Known Fix: After the first order, remove the individual crystal slots in the GUI, leaving the stack that the Pipe created with the order. from that point it will only order the stack of 4 and will not increase the total.

Additionally this bug applies to Lapotron Crystals as well, with the exact same issues and fixes.

I made the mistake of trying to make steel in the Induction Smelter form Thermal Expansion and now I can't enter my world anymore. Now I tried making steel again on a test world to see if It was a regular thing but I didn't have any issues on the test world.

Mod Pack: Direwolf20
Mod & Version:1.0.18
Pastebin link to crash log: http://pastebin.com/330DVVLx
Whats the bug?: Game crashed while trying to make steel in the Induction Smelter. Now the game crashes trying to load the world.
Can it be repeated?: No
Known Fix:???

I'm not so sure it is steel production that is causing your problem. I've never had an issue and the crash report you posted indicates a problem with ender storage. Did you make a recent change that would effect an ender tank or ender chest?

try moving your user file from the world save and try again, if it works it was something with your inventory/player

Not really. But it's definitely the ender tanks. If I take ender storage out of the pack I have no problem loading the world. As soon as I put it back in the game crashes before loading the world.

Whats the bug? The bees are disappearing!
Can it be repeated? Any form of automation w/ bc pipes will cause them to maybe and eventually disappear
Known Fix: None

A similar problem occurs with syringes and thermal expansion itemducts.

I recently posted about this on the previous page of this thread. The bees only disappear if they're moving through the BC pipes when you load the world. This problem currently affects absolutely anything travelling through BC pipes when loading a world, not just bees. The problem seems to be that the process which loads "travelling entities" in the pipes is getting interrupted somehow.

However... I just did some testing and yes, even itemducts are losing their items on world load... though not to the same extent BC pipes are... but Thermal Expansion and Buildcraft are two entirely different mods, yet both are suffering from the same problem with travelling entities... That means the problem could be a conflict between the two mods, or might even be much deeper and may be related to a core mod, perhaps even Forge itself! o_o;

Mod Pack: Direwolf20 1.0.18
Mod & Version: Hats + Morph + Mystcraft + Ars Magica 2 + Switching between Default and Soartex texture packs.
Pastebin link to crash log: N/A, Log is 10MB in size. Log can be presented via request (preferrably email or Dropbox)
Whats the bug? Whilst in mystcraft book morph, I attempted to fix Ars Magica 2 bug where the textures that render in-hand when holding spellbook and icons in Arcane Compendium would break (show weird textures) by switching from Default to Soartex texture packs (I found this to be a working fix for that bug). I then opened up my morph favourites GUI and saw that my Steve skin was different than it normally is (like the broken texture image, where the black part of the checkered box replacing head, torso and legs, the purple replacing the arms). I switched to the Steve morph anyway and it crashed the game. As you can see in the bug report on pastebin, the same error repeats over and over (like an infinite loop).
Additonal Information: The game crashed to desktop before I could screenshot it (the morph process did complete), but when the client re-launched the FTB.exe it did not respond to any button presses or window movement. See attached images for AM2 texture derps.

Infinite Loop:

Can it be repeated? Yes, but you have to be really unlucky with the texture part of the problem (the texture errors always occur when I switch between the 2 aforementioned texture packs) AND have to be in the book morph.
Known Fix: Don't change textures when in book morph.

A similar problem with the texture breaks is Logistics Pipes' Sign Creator item (the texture goes invisible (once it changed to a stretched version of vanilla texture's AM2 Blue Topaz)). This is very rare though.

Thanks fellas for all your help :D

Whats the bug? Using the kinetic generator in the legs can cause almost instant death when landing, after using the jetpack for an extensive period. I've got the heatsink set to 200C and a watertank for 401 buckets and the cooling system set to 400%. I've already died more than 8 times after landing after jetpacking an extensive distance (500+ blocks). While in the air i can see the temperature rise up to about 40C and then go back to 0, but never overheats. However, upon landing i instantly reach 400C+. After retrieving the items and putting the suit back on, i die instantly as well, because the overheat remains. The high efficiency solar generator also in installed, but that one does not cause an issue. After removing this one, the problem was still present. Removing the kinetic generator did remove the problem. Note: The amount of energy generated by the kinetic generator did not make a difference.
Can it be repeated? Yes.
Known Fix: Don't jetpack for an extensive distance or remove the kinetic generator.

Whats the bug?
Thermionic fabricator
When trying to craft tin electron tubes it wont work when you use liquid glass, this is what all the wiki pages i have found says i need. And this will not work. NEI tells me i need biomass as the liquid, but tell me i need to smelt down glass/sand/glass panes.
Can it be repeated? Yes
Known Fix:

I have tryed pumping biomass into the fabricator will not accept the liquid.
I have a very similar problem to this. NEI says to use biomass but I know it is glass. I just tried to make several different electron tubes for my Alveary. Had power to it because it melted the glass but would not output the tubes I was trying to make. Tried making tin, gold and diamantine electron tubes and neither of them would work.

I just recently crafted tube for a multi farm myself wihtout any issues, But i place sand in the thermionic fabricator and not glass. Hope this helps.

I will try that.

Edit: I tried sand, did not work. Forgot to mention I am on 1.0.16 server. I know other people have made multifarms so I know they have had to use the thermionic fabricator.

Edit2: Ok seems to be working its just that the icon for the tubes weren't showing up in the area they normally do. You just have to click on them to get them.

Mod Pack: Direwolf20 1.0.18
Mod & Version: Ender Storage.
Pastebin link to crash log: No log
Whats the bug? Weird texture bug whenever i look from one non-enderStorage block to an enderStorage block (see attached image). Attached images are self-explanatory. Vision moving from the Filing Cabinet to the ender tank. Also occurs when looking from vanilla block (i tried cobble, stone, and dirt) to an ender storage block.

Mod Pack: Direwolf20 1.0.16 and also appearing in 1.0.18
Mod & Version: MineFactory Reloaded and/or Thermal Expansion (regardless of Version, patched different versions in)
Pastbin link to crash log: No crash/log (no errors in logs, I looked back by 3 hours before the bug)
Whats the bug? The MFR Planters will stop receiving energy. Replacing does NOT work.
After the bug occured the GUI will not update anything but the filter and inventory. The machine does not accept
any form of power (MJ, EU, RF)
and breaking/wrenching it does not help. Any further machines have the same error.
Buildcraft Engines do not operate but recognize the machine as energy consumer.
A harvester on the same powerline 7 blocks further does operate normaly
Can it be repeated? Yes, tried about 40 times, different machines, server/client restarts, different versions of modpack/mods
What exactly caused it? I can only guess, but it stopped working when we gathered at my base and went mining.
After that it did not work anymore.
Known Fix: None (Edit: Not a nice one: Delete via a world editor all bugged Blocks and Chunkloaders)

Further Intel:
It seems that something corrupts the world save preventing the Planters from working.

My first post, and only so a mod can see it and put it to good use.

Mod Pack:
Direwolf20 1.0.16 & 1.0.18
Mod & Version: Unknown
Pastbin link to crash log: N/A
Whats the bug? Minecraft crashes and world is lost(level.dat and level.dat_old gone too)
Can it be repeated? Unknown
What exactly caused it? Unknown, It's happened twice to me. In 2 completely different situations.

Known Fix: Alright, you can get your world back. But you will lose anything that was in your inventory and things like Ars magica 2 levels/Thaumcraft 4 research.

Step one: Make a new world with the same mod pack. Name it something you like, because it will be the name of your new world. I would suggest that you put cheats on.(For later use)

Step two: Go into the Saves folder that has all the information for your worlds.(XXX/Direwolf20_1_6_4\minecraft\saves\ New world ) Go to the New world save and find the Level.dat file. Make a copy of it.

Step three: Paste that Level.dat file in your old lost world save.(XXX/Direwolf20_1_6_4\minecraft\saves\ Old world)

Step four: Your old world should be back and you can get back into it. Now you will spawn in somewhere in your map and some weird things might happen. If you die in game... great, you'll respawn and all the weirdness should be over. Make sure to check that all your stuff is where it should be.

The End: At this point, you'll be in your world and almost happy. Just that your inventory is gone. This is why I suggest putting cheats on. With it you can try to cheat some of stuff that you lost back into the game.(NEI works too)

PS: I hope this helps someone out there that had this weird crash and lost their file. Moral of the story here: Backup your game every now and again. (And use Ender-bags to store most of your tools, they will be safe from this method)

The fix is to update to the recommended version of the mod pack (1.0.18). Your world loss was caused by the Hats mod crashing. There is a newer bug fixed version in the 1.0.18 version of the mod pack.

The first crash happened to me in 1.0.18 I'll update again and remove hats, not like I use it.
