I'm making a system that only needs to activate very infrequently. Instead of using a timer on a very long time setting, I was thinking about using the Light Sensor, so each morning the system activates (doesn't matter if a day is missed due to bad weather). But is there a way of turning the constant redstone signal into one single pulse? I've experimented with various RedPower circuits, but don't understand most of them :D

Also, is there a good way of emitting 3 pulses when one pulse is received? At the moment I've used 3 repeaters with different delays, but if there is a better setup I'd love to know.
Pulse former will make a on signal into a single pulse.

Repeaters are the simplest way to split one pulse and make it arrive at different times. You could use 3 pulse formers, but if they all get triggered at the same time connected to the same line then you won't be able to tell there was 3 pulses...

If I rent a fragnet server and install FTB on it, does all of the mods/plugins stay on the server side? To put it more directly, can I go to my fragnet server for FTB but play solo vanilla? I'm aware there are ways to juggle multiple minecrafts (multiMC) but my original question is still a general curiousity to me. Thanks!

Edit: one other question-does the fact that my computer's version of MC is 1.5 and FTB is based on 1.4.7 (correct me if I'm wrong there) cause any problem with compatibility?

Oh. I think I'm going to need a bigger tank. And a lot of waiting.

*Edit* Turns out I needed a lot less, as my stills were still producing and almost keeping up with the boiler. I could have probably started it up with about 300 buckets.

Where does Voxel Map save its waypoint data so i can copy it to another PC, back it up, or change the IP of the server if my world moves?
I had been looking for this too. Thanks to EnderA on the voxelbox forum I've found that they are (strangely) stored within the vanilla .minecraft folder in the subfolder mods\VoxelMods\voxelMap.

Thanks! Yes that is a bit odd isn't it.

I'm trying to build this mob trap:

And It said to go out 150 to 200 blocks and I went out 150 but I still got this sliver of Enderman spawning near the side where I built my walk way out to the spawner. I asked a question on the video, and they said I just had to go farther, so I moved out to 200 blocks and I still get Enderman spawning on the main island. Should I just water out that area, or just go farther out? I'm not sure if the trap even works in FTB, but I don't think it's changed the spawn code.

Is it possible for the Isolator from Extra Bees to extract a Pollination Speed serum? I've been through quite a number of drones without pulling one yet.

It should be possible, yes. Maybe it is called flowering, since that name is sometimes also used for the same attribute?

Perhaps. I've seen many flower type serums, but no flowering speed. Ah well, it's not like I'm going to run out of drones.

*EDIT*
Apparently I just needed to come complain. There's my Fast Flowering serum.

Mobs will keep spawning up to I think 144 blocks away but will despawn more or less instantly if they're beyond 128 blocks away. If you're on a server, someone else may be in The End with you and causing mobs to spawn. Otherwise, I would guess that you're not actually as far away as you think. An easy way to test is to switch your render distance to Normal and looking at the main island. Normal renders up to 128 blocks away, so if you can see the island you're too close.

It's been a while since I've done one of those farms (nowadays I just make a small room that endermen can't fit in and spin in a circle), but I've never had a problem with them.

I checked it, and on Normal render, the island completely disappears, and then I go another 50 blocksish and I go back and there are still baddies sitting there. The end portal is right by them too, would that load any chunks or anything?

EDIT; I start at 130, and the very end of the straight line out is 378, so I'm almost 250 blocks away.
