That depends very heavily on what kind of pack you want to be playing.
Adventure/RPG: Dungeons, Dragons and Spaceshuttles (not a fan of this one personally, but it is pretty popular), RLCraft, FTB: Interactions to some degree, SevTech
Expert mode progression: Enigmatica 2 Expert, FTB: Interactions, Dungeons, Dragons and Spaceshuttles, Omnifactory to some degree
Tech-focused: Omnifactory
Good for beginners: Breakout, Enigmatica 2 Normal, Peace of mind, Omnifactory for beginners to Gregtech
Kitchensink: All The Mods 3 and All The Mods 3 Remix
Other: Ultimate Alchemy, Glacial Awakening (mostly because I don't know much about it), Antimatter Chemistry, Volcano Block, Mystical Skies

I think that mostly covers it?

Because this is the between times. 14.4 is not yet ready. Folks are tired of the offical packs. So we sit, and we wait, and we ponder.

FTB Academy was released recently, but it's very much intended as a Your First Modded Pack, and almost too simple even for that purpose. Before that, FTB Interactions, FTB Sky Odyssey, and FTB Builder's Paradise were March and April releases, and while Interactions is a long play pack, Sky Odyssey and Builder's Paradise are very much quick romps, with the former quite easily running into EMC cap problems within a week of play. And even Interactions is a GregTech pack, which has always been a built of a specialist interest.

There's still /some/ discussion of these packs (uh, less so for Builder's Paradise) on the subreddit, which tends to be slightly more active in recent times, but they're mostly tech support questions rather than the build showcases or narrative discussions that tended to do better in the XenPorta format. Even when they were new, there wasn't a huge amount of interest on the forums proper.

((It probably doesn't help that these packs didn't even get News Posts here, with the last pack to do so being the rather unfavorable FTB Continuum from 2018.))

How can you contact the staff of this forum? I made a post last week in tech support (my first post on my account if that matters) and it needs to be approved to be visible. Because i posted a link to logs in it. However its been a week and no one has looked at it yet. I tried making a post without a link but that one also needs to be approved. I would really like some help cause i cant play the game now cause my launcher is broken (which is what I made a post about)

I'm looking to start a guided, quest-focused modpack that I won't have to watch Youtube videos to get into. What do you guys suggest?

I was looking at Enigmata 2 - normal, is does seem really good but right now I'm looking for something a little more themed and not as much "kitchen sink". Thanks guys.

Where's the search function? I want to look at my old threads (to troubleshoot AE2 fluid emitters not working), but I just get an error when I go to Your Content from my profile menu, and I don't see the search function anywhere.

Hello, for some reason my FTB Launcher does not install. When I start the FTB Launcher for installation it says "Downloading pack data" and nothing happens, I tried leaving it be because I thought it maybe needs time to download, but after leaving it for few hours I knew that somethings wrong... Is there a way to fix it? I tried reinstalling the launcher, or Java version but it's still not installing itself.

Been having this issue for a while now,and it's resisted my attempts to fix it. Simply put, text really likes to overrun the page/panel/window/screen. For FTB Revelations, this is most evident in the left side pages in the Tinkers' Construct manuals. I've attempted changing my GUI scale, switching between fullscreen and windowed, and mucking with Optifine's Custom Fonts setting, plus all combinations thereof,to no avail. My native resolution is 1920*1080,and I'd really like to fix this headache.

That'll most likely be due to the Smooth Font mod, which replaces minecrafts font with a true type font. Although it looks better, MC isn't designed for TrueType fonts and you'll get wrapping issues. You can adjust the font being used by the mod to one of your choice.

FTB Revelations doesn't have the Smooth Font mod,so that's not a factor.

Speaking of Revelations pack..

I've managed to naturally spawn a flux rift.. woops.... But my book doesn't have the research available to learn how to close one yet.. What do I need to do to get this research?

EDIT: I know i scanned a crystal cluster before (naturally growing vis crystal) but apparently I needed to re-scan one again to unlock.

Hello everyone. First post here.

I have been learning mods in minecraft for some time now. currently working on ae2 and ic2 for now. So im trying to make a manual dye farm to color my ae2 smart cables. every wiki I read says that I should shear my tall mystical flower for 4 petals, but the problem is that I can't. The shear simply wont do anything to the mystical flower. i can left click but that just punches the flower down, no petals. This is in infinity evolved version 3.1.0.

Any feedback on what I am doing wrong would be appreciated!

So, what should work is as follows: if you break the flower with the shears, you should get the tall flower as an item - this can then be crafted into 4 petals.
