Ah, I was totally ignorant of that crafting mechanic in IE. I can understand it for the "toys" but the Electrode? I thought the IE arc furnace worked without them? If not, that's a real "bad" mechanic/gate within the mod. It's also a grind I don't want the player to go through for a "common" component.
So a recipe is needed, either for the blueprint, or for the electrode. Any ideas? I see that the config for IE has a config option to add a recipe to the blueprint. So I'm going to check that out.
Ah, The Arc Furnace Recycling was another mechanic I wasn't familiar with. Best thing I think is to totally disable that (it's an option in the IE config). It does negate Thermal Recycling mod a little.
Steel Fence recipe recycles to 1 ingot 4 nuggets, the starter recipe costs 1.5 ingots so you do have a little bit of loss, but with the new recipe, it only costs 0.38 ingot per fence, so you can dupe steel.
Yeah, the more "exotic" blocks that don't have a liquid alternative I've left as a 3x3 crafting for blocks/nuggets. Thinking about it, I should change osmium as it's an AgriCraft resource. Keeps things consistent with all the other metals.
Yeah, I agree that disabling the recycling might be the best. Gives less of a headache about such possible dupes when recipes are changed, too.
And the arc furnace needs the electrodes to work. So having a sure way to get the blue print would be nice.
I know there are some chests around the islands... but they're really hard to get, so not sure if these blueprints spawn in them yet.

No worries, always glad when I can help finding stuff. And always worried I annoy the modpack maker cause I have alot of "luck" of running into bugs and so *ducks*
My status so far: three more plants - without the ones for which I need to visit the nether first - to go then Agricraft finished for now.
Still planning my base... which takes longer than anything else, I'm not good at designing but too stubborn to ignore designing *laughs*
Machine'wise I pretty much prepared most stuff to set up already to get steal and ore doubling automated. And power of course. Still missing the diesel generator (this machine takes so much steel).
Still thinking if I want to try an excavator... so as between step between agricraft ressources and advanced rocketry. but I guess I shouldn't plan 'too' much ahead.

Another issue found:
The Jaslumine (Aluminium-plant from agricraft) gives aluminium nuggets from immersive engineering. Only way to process them is the smeltery, not in the redstone furnace.

The "Engineer's Toolbox" from immersive engineering needs a wooden storage crate (from IE) to craft, but they're disabled. Maybe change it to the other storage crate?

And oreberriebushes... well not really necessary, once you have the agricraft plants on 10/10/10 you get 4 nuggets per plant. So alot faster than oreberries.
Essence berry bushes would be amazing, but not sure if villagers have them.
At least for unlocking the inventory slots. (I'm on my last row! *cheers*) And of course for some easy enchants from ender-io... once you reach that point, heh.

I found another trick. My smeltery is tall enough for enderman to spawn in and other than my mob cells it is the only place nearby mobs can spawn, particularly during the day. Leave a bit of molten metal in there to kill the mobs, come back to a smeltery with blood and liquid ender in it, lol.
Was going down to melt some pearls for another tesseract and noticed it already had 1125 liquid ender and 640 blood.

The urge to use these right now is pretty intense. Seems like the smart move would be to save them for the last two slots, though.

Ah well, we keep you busy with fixing stuff and well for me... I'm a very focused player *laughs*
Once I begin something I try get it done fast (like raising the plants to 10/10/10 or trying to building the diesel generator-components). Well besides the base-building that's a very slow process for me *smirks*
But on the other side, I'm really not an "efficient" player. So give me an efficient way of doing something and an aesthetic way and in 95% I will choose the aesthetic one, no matter how much extra work it is
(and I totally love multiblocks in this sense!)

So I have a cursed earth mob farm from the division sigil I found in a chest, funny thing is right after activating the sigil and upgrading my simple mob farm to cursed earth I got a loot bag with......a division sigil in it. Have actually not found a inventory unlocker in a bag though, so I ended up upgrading the wooden spikes to diamond spikes and made a couple extra world interaction upgrades and now have every slot unlocked along with a lot of useless loot and some nice items. Haven't found a portal gun but I did get 12 portal spawners, a decent way to get to areas around my base. You would think a normal mob farm would be a lot better as well because of the void but all the caves that these worlds generate still causes a decent number of mobs to spawn, still even without cursed earth it does produce a decent amount of loot. Need to look into getting some MFR grinders to make a decent farm that can spawn enderman my current one uses water to get the mobs to the killing pit so I have a distinct lack of enderman though 9 ender lily's help that out quite a bit. need a enderman head though for a soul binder and another for a inventory panel.
Arc furnace is up, didn't realize how much power the thing consumes. Speaking of power is it intended that big reactors has such a simple recipe for it's components. I set up a quarry in the deep dark since I decided I was too lazy to mine much anymore with how busy life has been lately and while trying to decide how to power it I decided to see what insane requirements it was to create a big reactor. Made one as all it required was steel and a diamond basically. So I have a nice quarry running and another reactor to power my base. Anyways quickly ran through the post IE progression after making a metal press, got a pulverizer, induction smelter and sawmill up along with the thermionic fabricator and carpenter.
As for storage quickly built 3 modular storages with tier 2 storage modules. Planning on avoiding AE early on and have a bit of fun with RF tools modular storage along with ender IO item conduits + remote awareness upgrades. It's a real shame that ender IO's portable inventory panel isn't available.
Also is there any plan for a way to produce fused quartz since the alloy smelter is disabled? Not seeing any way to make it and a few items in enderio such as fluid conduits and soul vials need them. apparently can't even make ender IOs inventory panel without the fused quartz.;(
