Not sure if this has been mentioned before but I think the filled chalice from Witchery gives +2 base power to the altar. The FAQ on the second post quotes the Witchery website, where the altar entry says +1, but I'm thinking that's a typo since the entry for the filled chalice says +2 (and also mentions that it's an upgrade to the unfilled chalice).

how do you people actually do bee breeding?
i have only ever done it with gendustry, and even then it took a long time to get to any usefull lines.
i have tried to do some breeding but it took me ages to even get a decent number of modest drones.

Apiaries, for the most part. Bee houses are good for generating drones from ignoble princesses, but you can't get mutations from them. There's some genetics-type equipment available (no quests for it as I recall), but I never got to the point of using it.

I am, however, very happy to have learned about the Beegonia in Botania, and will hopefully be making good use of it for disposal of unwanted/unneeded bees.

Not sure if this is the right place for it, but after tossing my Lexica Botanica into the Alfheim portal the quest does not complete, even attempting with new books or giving myself all the possible varieties of Lexicon the quest doesn't register any of them.

I have that issue as well, I've just accepted my fate and moved on, it is a modpack WIP so I just report found issues and move on. So far our group has encountered two

- "Another Side Another Story" - Throwing the lexicon through the portal does not complete the quest.
- " Dark Desires" - Killing the chicken does not give the glass goblet (filled) item, and said item does not even appear in NEI

This bug has been reported numerous times since .9 came out. It is a problem with the current version, you need to give yourself the OP book and complete the quest.

Is there a power from lava solution in this pack?

I know it seems cheaty because lava is everywhere, but in this pack everything is infinite.

But i cant find any lava burning engines. I miss TE :(

As said, the Heat generator will burn through Lava... BUT... it burns through it very fast, I found them to be more useful (for a time) as passive generators surrounded on 5 sides with standing lava... a bank of 10 of them was perfect to get me through my tech up to the Bio-Generators.

Exception: The Freaking Lasers... needed to make a biomass system to power those puppies... (this was where I tried to use the -active- Heat generator to supplement power, not happy with results and unplugged it)

@seanbrockest Another lava possibility if you're prepared to do a bit of building is Botania thermalillies, sending the mana to a mana fluxfield. Thermalilies do take a bit of timer setup to not waste the lava, but definitely doable. Example guide from Jansey:

No guarantees on the efficiency of such a build (I think fluxfield efficiency is quite low), but lava is basically free, so... :)

***Potential Spoilers *** for the instance that this may lead into one.

We are having an issue in Regrowth, the Vampire Dark Desires quest. We have the ritual setup, nothing above it, (ala, clear skies) and we lead the chicken onto the skull with seeds, and then kill it with the boline, and nothing happens except dead chicken. Looking in NEI we are supposed to receive a "glass goblet (filled)" and that item does not exist in NEI, simply the glass goblet. After about 60 chickens, different times of the night, and all that. The server admin was just going to simply give us the goblet, but it don't exist. Is this questline unattainable atm?
Two questions: 1) Do you have the string laid out on the ground, and 2) do you have the empty goblet in your inventory when you kill the chicken?

So, I've managed to get a bunch of koboldite dust from a hobgoblin, and even managed to get a trade window opened, but how do I get the nuggets and ingots? The only trade being offered is a pair of diamond boots for 7 nuggets. Do I just need to keep spawning more hobgoblins until I get a dust->nugget trade by pot luck?

I was just about to ask this same question, but on my second round of breeding them I managed to get two that had the trade. So as far as I know, yes it is just luck unless someone knows something I don't.

That being said the whole process is very frustrating. Luckily I found 3 coven witches in world gen and you get two spawn eggs from quests, so my need for koboldite ingots is fairly low.

I was just about to ask this same question, but on my second round of breeding them I managed to get two that had the trade. So as far as I know, yes it is just luck unless someone knows something I don't.


Sounds a bit like villager breeding/rehab in that respect.

so odd i loaded up my regrowth single player and my drawers some the texture was missing, when i right clicked them the internal server crashed but the client didn't ... it put me in the multiplayer menu, backed out and went back to my single player world... this time the one drawer that was missing texture was fine but others where not, right clicking did the same crash... closed the client and starting over with a fresh load up

ok reloaded and everything is working ... so odd

Yep, the goblet needs to be in your hotbar. And you're doing the ritual at night?

Pretty much every possible time at night, it is night everytime though.
-Multiple people have tried
-goblet in the hotbar, in the inv, next to the boline, on the left and right sides of the hotbar.
-chicken on the skull, around the skull ( I know we read that the chicken and have seen that the chicken needs to be on the top, but at this point we are grasping at straws)

So how do i managed to get constant daybloom ?
Automate an endoflame and you'l have about 20 dayblooms in one.


Alternatively if you are lucky enough to get overgrowth seeds, planting a passive flower on that will prevent it decaying at all, but that's a massive oppertunerty cost from not being able to overgrowth boost a high-tier generating flower.
