Something else: The MFR harvester really doesn't work very well, because of the enviromine gravity... It chops down the bottom wood block, so the rest of it falls down, which interrupts the harvesting, so you need to wait for the harvester to come back and harvest the new bottom block, after which the rest of the wood falls down. It works, just very slowly, and it loses saplings because of fast leaf decay.

I wonder if an autonomous activator will work? The logs will fall in front as it chops, and you can put a vacuum chest(I think that's what it's called, from Ender IO) to collect the saplings. Then just feed them from the chest to another activator to plant. It's not the best, but the logs falling down work in its favor.

Yes cactus will grow eventually, they are very slow, especially if they are in a biome that is different from desert.

Thank you. As soon as I posted I started playing again and it finely grew. I was wondering about Flan's Mod. Is everything able to be crafted? I was trying to fined the barrel addon for the gun we start with, and the first we get a quest for. I noticed the only thing you can add to the gun is a barrel, but do not see one in NEI. I really want to make some of the other stuff in that mod:)

I was wondering what if any content packs did you use for Flan's? I see Mech's, etc in NEI and I forgot that that mod relayed heavily on content packs, but was assuming that if it was in NEI it will be craftable. Who DOESN"T want to take back the land with a Mech?!? Or take the fight to the Ghast's.lol

I'm starting to wonder, if anyones knows if all the zombies that are counted as "Special Mobs" can drop Zombieheads?

Gone through quiet some risk outside at night, was lucky to find 2 zombie-spawners underground, so got to kill already about 40~50 zombies, but not a single head of them for ender-io. Used "The Ender" for higher drop chance. Slowly wondering if I have just really bad luck, or if all the zombies with the mekanism-armor and plagued ones and so actually cannot drop their heads :/

I have done the same, and only have skeleton heads.

Haha, I was watching another past stream and you were having trouble with the engineers module falling/gravity..lol I was trying to set up an Ender IO Item buffer last night and it kept falling down and making me REALLY mad, because I had blocks all around it and it still kept falling. I finally got it to stay, but I had to put posts under it so now it looks ugly. Speaking of the item buffer you should upgrade yours to a Omni Buffer. It combines the functionality of the Item Buffer, and an Energy Buffer in one block. It works great for the turrets, because if you ever change/run out of power it will give you a back up for your defenses. It holds 50,000rf and will out put both power/items to your turret.

Engineeres Toolbox has a newer update/ 25 May 2015 I am going to update manually. I figure it will be in a newer version of your amazing pack.

Am I right when I think, the best way for diamond is a tree-farm -> charcoal -> decomposer way for getting the carbon to make diamonds, or is there any other way (besides MFR Laser) to get diamonds in earlier stages of the game?
(Emeralds I noticed, that there seems to be some in world-generation under Extreme Hills biomes. Is that wanted or a bug?)

What do you mean by earlier-game? Early as in you don't have a really good power supply, or early as in you are a fair ways through Basic Tech?

I've been getting carbon by decomposing retinol and chlorophyll. 20-30 carbon each, and not too hard to set up, though 10/10/10 carrots are a bit annoying.

Charcoal only gives 8 carbon, correct (Basing my assumption on the fact that making charcoal takes 8)? In that case, wouldn't it be more efficient to decompose wood directly, and then decompose the products? But in any case, I'd advise staying away from a tree farm early-game because the enviromine physics play havoc with the MFR harvester, and the next possible harvester of which I am aware is the enderio one, which takes 4(?) diamonds to set up in the first place.

How I did it:
-Large algae pool. Decompose algae. Decompose chlorophyll for elements; keep triglycerides to eat; save proteins.
-A 5x5 plot of 10/10/10 carrots. (100 carrots/retinol per harvest!)
-Decompose rubber bars. If I remember correctly, each one gives 16 butane (C4H8). If you really want to, you could then use the rubber logs too.

Right now, I have a 16x8 algae pool, being tended by an OpenComputers robot. (If using robots before the next update, make sure to manually turn off enviromine physics acting on robot blocks.)

Carrots for Karots :D

I've defently gotten zombie heads to drop, sounds like bad luck streak. I'll turn it up a bunch for "The Ender" in the next update tho, I want heads to be fairly easy (or I'll add a craft recipe for them, like I did the ender head).

@Brenn_
Thanks for the hints about Retinol and Chlorophyll. Tried to get through the lists of NEI with everything that gives Carbon, but after some times I gave up fighting through all the other stuff that I had to look on to see where I get it from. ^^"
Tried Charcoal as well, since I tried to reduce byproducts (already have so much oxigen from decomposing stone for my metals) Or I should start using the void-upgrade from drawers. So love that they added this upgrade!

Guess will look into more agricraft. Actually started it cause I not wanted to use the Triglycerides for my diet... but with spice of life active it really is so much easier than trying to use agricraft/harvestcraft for getting food :/

OpenComputers... I don't think I will start much into that, since I'm horrible at programming and I don't really like using programs from others where I absolutely don't understand what is doing what (so just downloading these pastebin-stuff). May sound weird, since mods themselves are just programs which I do not understand on programming-base too... but well somewhere I have to draw a line xD

With early game I actually meant to "Not much power for big things". But actually I took the time and ressources to build the ender-io farming station. This works fine with the gravity, since it "teleport"-farms the whole tree at once, so the effect doesn't appear at all... it seems to far at least.

----

One bug I noticed:
It seems bonemealing saplings have a rather... weird effect on them. I tried to test my little farming setup with a 2x2 spruce-tree. But whenever I try to bonemeal them the UI only changes between "Spruce Sapling" and "Oak Sapling", without actually changing the sapling, it just changes the name in the Waila-Interface.
And the bonemeal itself seems to have no effect at all, used a full stack on the sapling and nothing happened.

[edit]
@Landstryder
Thanks to you, too, for the hint about carrots. When two mention them, I guess I really totally overlooked them in this case xD

And about the zombie-heads:
Yeah, it really seems like I had just huge bad luck. After setting up a little safety-area around on the spawners and farmed another 20 zombies I got 3 heads. Having a zombie-spawner sure makes that easier.
Actually though not sure if an "Empowered" The Ender works better with drops. My first try (where no heads dropped at all) was without empowering it first, the second where I got some quiet fast was after empowering it...

Awesome I'll check that out, did you find it on curse or elsewhere?

Yeah Curse http://www.curse.com/mc-mods/minecraft/224613-engineers-toolbox#t1:other-downloads

I would like to add that it is NOT crashing on placing the Module Socket. I placed 100 of them(Yes I know that excessive, but:) I placed them in water, on land. Just Thought I would let you know. I really wish they would update the page for that mod because I didn't know they combined Gascraft, and the other mod that was dependent to run Toolbox. I was thinking if I updated it I would have to do the same for the other three, but nope. All in one now:)

Edit: First, sorry for so many "I just seen on your Stream comment/questions, it takes me awhile to be able to watch things like that in one go". You had said that in an upcoming feature of Ender IO they are adding an interface style block that work similar to AE/AE2. First, you would happen to have a link so I can read about it? I have search for an hour and only come up with the EnderEye block that can see in a 3 block range. Second, the way you talk about it, is it safe to say that's something you want to update for?

Need a little help:

I tried to make a setup that is not wasting energy (since the ender-io farming station takes so much energy without doing anything but waiting for stuff to grow). But for some reason the trees do not grow anymore. Usually I could chop them down at least twice a day, now it's been several minecraft days and not one of them grew at all.
Is there some minecraft-mechanic I do not know about, like trees do not grow with an active redstone-signal or something like that? :/

Yea just ran some test in my dev environment and all went well so I will have those recipes back on in the next update and some new quest to hopefully explain how to use it a bit (it's pretty confusing at first).

There must be air blocks or other saplings around the the 2x2 of saplings that is to grow, they are probably seeing the redstone and stuff as blocks. I tend to make the farm the max size and only run when the wood gets low, but a max size farm of spruce can easily self sustain with a furnace and stirling and still have plenty of wood extra.

I'm pretty sure the un-empowered sword has the same chance for head drops as any normal sword. You defently need to empower it to get the special benefits.

Minecraftwiki says that the 2x2 trees can't have any blocks next to or diagonal to the northwest sapling of the 4. As Landstryder pointed out, it's probably detecting the redstone as a block.

Consider either
A) Moving the redstone bits to not be by the NW sapling (Might work, might not. I haven't tested)
B) Just add a lever to manually activate/deactivate the farming station--If a tree's grown, toggle the lever long enough for it to harvest the tree, then turn it off again. I assume that you can visit that place often enough to not leave a grown tree sitting around for days, and thus wasting excessive tree-growth time.
C) Set up more power gen so that you don't need to worry about a 20 RF/tick drain, or even just set up some enderio item conduits, a redstone furnace (or alloy smelter), and a stirling generator (preferrably with a double/octadic capacitor) so that it is self-sustaining. :)

If I enchant an empowered dark pick with efficiency, will it mine through obsidian faster, or will the effect be more or less negligible?

Also, are there any good uses for obsidian? I'm going to have a ton of it after I replace all of the obsidian around my base with dirt/grass.
-----
And that's the third life I've lost from my turret shooting me, in an attempt to shoot through me to hit the mob behind my fence. Lovely. Fortunately I've finally set up my automated algae farm so the protein life quest isn't a huge pain... Sync would fit in perfectly with the theme of the map, but sadly I think it makes it a bit too easy to have renewable extra lives.

Not sure, depends on how efficiency works and how the dark pick is coded. As of now when mining very hard stuff the dark pick has an efficiency of 100, if the enchant adds a specific amount to that it might not be noticeable, but if it multiplies it by some value, that would defently be noticeable.
Uses for obsidian- Dark steel and, um, more dark steel

Thanks for the hints about my setup. That's happening when I try to build a smart system, somewhere my plan hardly ever works cause of such things xD

Guess I will try one of these self-sustaining tree farms next. Once I can make sure to protect it well... whenever I try to build something outside one of the Ghast suddenly decides to visit me, hmpf.

---

And if you have far too much Obsidian, there is always the disposal-turret! :D (sadly I guess it makes the same damage, no matter if it is obsidian or stone inside :( )

---

Careful if you people try to modify the next tier weapons from the Flan's mod (so the sniper-rifle and assault-rifle-thing from the quest book). Seems like minecraft tends to crash when you try to put one of the two into the gun-modifier-block and when you log back in the weapon is gone :/

---

[edit]
Just noticed, that the MFR Harvester is compatible with agricraft. So you don't even need the planter anymore *cheers* That makes things for setting up a Diamond-Production-Line alot easier :]

If you set up the tree farm and don't go near it very often, ghasts shouldn't shoot at it.
--
I never used an item turret... Right now my base is being protected by a rail cannon: About 3x the range, pinpoint accuracy, 12.5 hearts attack. I see no need to build a item turret.

The harvester works with agricraft? I need to build another harvester!

if you load it before trying to modify it, it shouldn't crash. Something weird about NBT data that doesn't get set during the crafting but loading the weapons sets the NBT data and then the gun mod table won't crash. I'll add a note in the quest book about this next update.
