I have a question. i currently have a 1.0.3 server running off of my computer as i play and i would like to know how to update my server to the new 1.0.4 version without losing any of my worlds, areas and or items on my character. i have figured out how to update my own game from ftb launcher but it wont work with my 1.0.3 server that i still want to update. if any one could please tell me how to update safely it would be so thankfull :D

it's starting to seem that the server download from ftb launcher for the modpack is still the 1.0.3 version and because im runing it off a server i cant play the new mods and updates, can i assume the server version is in the making?

Here's a bug for you that I found really irritating.
I'd just gotten an awesome cleaver from a reward bag and put it in slot 1 of my hotbar. I went to the observatory and saw an icon I hadn't seen before when standing on the travel anchor. It was the icon of the watermelon. I tried to go there as I was curious it asked me for a code and I tried to guess. I put my mouse hovering over the first box and pressed 1 as I thought I was going to put in the number. In reality it stole the cleaver from the first slot of my inventory. When I went out of it to see if a dropped my cleaver it was no where to be seen. I've tested this many different times and it steals every item.

That isn't a bug, that is how that feature works. The code is a series of items you have to place in those slots.

For me the main menu loads no textures, but everything else loads fine.

I have the same issue. This is my first time installing material energy 4 and I downloaded the 1.0.4 version.

EDIT: Fixed it by force downloading 1.0.3 and then force downloading 1.0.4

So fluxed crystals seems to work quite well UNLESS you add a range updrade, then it takes a poop on the system. Running with two farm managers does not seem to have any effect on my system. This was with a basic upgrade, has anyone tried the larger upgrades and had the same lag issues?

So we finished the mod pack this morning; the completionist inside me is quite proud. After updating to the new version, however, we now have new secret quests. There is absolutely no hint as to where to begin with these secrets...they're pretty secretive. Anyone wanna spoiler us some ideas as to what's changed?

So we finished the mod pack this morning; the completionist inside me is quite proud. After updating to the new version, however, we now have new secret quests. There is absolutely no hint as to where to begin with these secrets...they're pretty secretive. Anyone wanna spoiler us some ideas as to what's changed?

I think you have to reset the End to access the new secrets. I just finished biosphere^4, so I have a way to go before getting there.

Well, yes. I should state that we have reset everything aside from our quests. But since the new quests added are secrets and do not show up in the quest book until you discover said secrets, we're faced with playing the whole map over again to hope to discover a couple new secrets that were added.

I just loaded this pack up and I found a very odd and very obvious bug.

The main menu looks like this:

I hadn't installed my texture packs at the time, but afterward the problem continued. This weirdness only occurs on the main menu, not on any of the submenus (the left larger button on the third row is the options menu), where it shows what I believe is a block from AE2. I think this might a bug with the mod that makes a random block texture the background of all the menus, but I'm not sure.

EDIT: After a restart the problem still continues.

I have the same issue. This is my first time installing material energy 4 and I downloaded the 1.0.4 version.

EDIT: Fixed it by force downloading 1.0.3 and then force downloading 1.0.4

It's an issue with the modpack version 1.0.4 not having the main menu textures. The post above has quoted someone telling the fix.

I noticed the background screenshots use SEUS shaders, but when I load my world with the shaders mod, it just crashes, without even any shaderpack loaded. Which version (if any for 1.0.4) of the shaders mod worked for those screenshots?

Another mistake with the 1.0.4 release is that the server has version 1.12 of Compact machines and the client has version 1.16. It wont let you join the server unless you manually update it.

Reset the quest progress until the rest of the secrets open up.

I'm quite certain my computer has the power. I was able to run FTB Monster with shaders until one of the mods updated and broke compatibility.
