All I can say is "yuck" lol - it's nice to have version numbers, but it is not aesthetically pleasing. Especially not when trying to compare packs based on contents.

It can be done - and now it is :) Thanks for the suggestion! I've already tried blue, but it seemed too neutral. For now red will stay, but feel free to duplicate the spreadsheet and modify the color palette if you wish :)

Factorization isn't listed as being in magic world I will work on coloring now, red/green sounded good at the time, but I can see what you mean.

that is amazing lol! Just checked with the "mindcrack" pack. Chests have a neat texture, but it is definitely not raining chickens. - for reference, it is 3:40am on the 24th of December here.

In case anyone is interested, I have created a modpack comparison spreadsheet. I opted to leave out the 1.2.5-compatible modpacks for now, but if there is enough interest, I may add them in (or if you're super awesome, you can do it for me! ) Google doc link...

I would love it if there was a way. I looked at the source code, and it doesn't seem that it would be hard to do. We should start a petition :)

It works with diamond pipes - if you try to insert an item into an adjacent chest, and that chest happens to be full, it will travel down the next avaliable route. I am pretty sure the same concept can be applied to standard transport pipes as well, but I have not tested it.

I can restore about half of the files, but that does not include essential files like level.dat, and many of the .mca files are missing as well.

Thanks for this :) A Some of these changes I was completely unaware of! Good to hear redstone engines can't be used as a power source, and I am sooo happy that gold pipes default to on! :D

Only about half of the files are able to be restored. Dropbox limits the number of interactions that you can revert.

I agree that this is good practice, but the fact that the launcher deleted my saves in the first place is a serious issue in my opinion. I have already checked, and restored the files - I sync my saves with dropbox, and they were indeed removed upon the update.

Close your console window while recording, it will increase the stability. In my experience that does not get rid of the problem entirely, but it will help. If you can afford it, I would recommend getting dxtory, as it has almost no issues with recording FTB.

I can confirm that I have had the same issue. After updating from 1.0.4 to 1.0.5, everything was erased. My save files, texture pack, additional mods (optifine, logistics pipes, etc.) were removed. It was as if I had just installed the modpack. I spent hours on one of my worlds, and now it is...
