Just started a new world in the DW20 pack, and I have noticed it is quite laggy.

I have noticeable stutter when I am walking/running.

Just wondered if anyone else is having these issues with the DW20 pack?

I'm not running Optifine, but I did add Rei's Minimap to the pack .... and yes, I have a pretty good PC, so I know its not that!

No noticable lag here using the DW20 mod pack. Ive added Optifine (whichever the latest version was as of around 12am this morning... GMT). Ive also added Rei's minimap (whichever version is included in the Mindcrack pack).
Specs are as follows....
CPU Intel Q6600 Quad Core 2.4ghz
Ram 4gb
Gfx Nvidia GForce 9800GTX (1gb edition)
OS Win7 Ultimate 64bit.

As you can see, its not exactly a blisteringly fast rig but it handles MC with no problems. Perhaps its chunk loading thats causingthe stutter/lag?
Not sure if it has any bearing but Ive also set MC to use 3gb ram in FTB options.

I've heard that Rei's Minimap may be causing some FPS issues. Haven't tested myself. Also, apparently 1.4.6 Optifine is pretty buggy (again, haven' t tested).

Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I am going to try and disable rei's and see if that makes any difference. I may also add optifine and see what happens.

Well, I wanted to set MC to use more ram, but it won't let me increase it to above 1gb :-/

Anyone know how to up this more?

How much ram do you have? It'll only let you use how much you computer has. Also, more ram is not necessary useful. Have you checked if MC is using all you ram you have allocated?

When I check MC F3, it says that I'm using about 35%.

I have 8gbs of ram, so shouldn't be a problem.

Originally when the launcher first came out I was able to increase it to 6, which I think was the max (may be wrong) but it was since one of the launcher updates that I can't allocate about 1gb.
