Snowing chickens?

Anyone else have it start snowing chickens in-game. I just updated to forge .480 and logged back in, but it also rolled over midnight and is now Christmas day here in NZ so it could be that.

Not sure if it's a mods doing, or vanilla 1.4.6.... or a bug :)

I know, pic or it didn't happen....

they are real chickens but they disappear in a small explosion effect when they get to the ground

Just checked with the "mindcrack" pack.

Chests have a neat texture, but it is definitely not raining chickens. - for reference, it is 3:40am on the 24th of December here.

Chests have had that texture for a little while. Its vanilla code that checks your computer's date and chooses a chest texture.
It is 10:43pm 24 December and not raining chickens here. Christmas Day Exclusive :p?

OH MY GOD THATS THE REAL END OF THE WORLD!
At least, if you're fast, you can ahve a loooooooooooooooooooot of feathers (for mystcraft) and raw chicken.

The chickens are an effect only, you can't interact with them, it is a very cool effect and I have been chuckling since it started, hats off to whoever put this in :) it's 12:50am 25th here so I'm guessing you will all get to see it soon enough.
