    Is energy from lava appropriate?

    Just think about all the times you've died in lava and your stuff burned up ^_^

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

    I think a few 64 eu/t blocks are more comparable... 512/t blocks really are extremely costly to make in advanced solar compared to nuclear reactors. You will need mass fabricator/matter fabricator for advanced solars by the way, hybrid and ultimate hybrid both use sunnarium. This does lock...

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

    I don't think it's the biggest problem (if you remove gregtech especially) but it certainly does show some bias. He mentioned in the IC2 forums that he likes to use lava energy and I think it may just be an unconscious preference that does indeed seem to make this issue more prevalent. Either...

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

    I made this thread because a lot of others were bringing it up as an argument against things in other threads where it didn't belong as I was interested to see how a majority felt. I don't remember calling it too strong and tried to imply as much as possible that values may just be "out of line"...

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

    Thanks for all the responses so far :) I honestly expected the "it's fine" to be more around the 40%~ mark, but this is what we learn!

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

    I am aware it should, it just didn't work for me

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

    I had no idea, on the beta pack the recipe didn't work for me so I assumed it was gone entirely, nice to know

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

    Personally, I really liked the old ender chest. As far as I'm aware a mod or two bring a similar feature back - but I just liked the original old vanilla ender chest being player unique. I guess it didn't help SSP though.

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

    Just going to add on another question or two for those interested: Do you feel lava is a go-to resource generator for you or do you generally use others (such as tree farms) more for your early-midgame gameplay? If you do use lava - do you think other generator methods should be made more...

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

    The hostility before anyones really said anything isn't really needed. I think lavas too easy and you don't, I am going to at least for a while avoid jumping into any discussions from this thread and allow more people to put their opinion in. It is just a thread I created because over the past...

    Is energy from lava appropriate?

    Ok so it's been happening more and more recently, comments about processing energy from lava are spilling in to a lot of threads (especially about gregtech) Now I will note that while I want this thread to apply to all the relevant FTB packs as much as possible - I do play mindcrack with...

    Am I supposed to be getting dust when I grind my gem ores?

    Diamonds boots - 4 diamond, has durability, increased enchanting cost due to diamonds + possible durability loss. Enchants can cover at cap 56% fall damage if you are unlucky, more if you are lucky. Longfall boots - 4 iron, 12 obsidian, no durability, cheaper enchanting cost due to mod item...

    Am I supposed to be getting dust when I grind my gem ores?

    Longfall boots finally got their recipe upped to something reasonable? They should be using diamonds considering they are better than enchanted diamond and short of having the full set - better than quantum too.

    Two platinum == Limitless iridium

    For test purposes I made a 16 magma crucible with magmatic engine system, and that ran 24 geo's easily. Crucibles are really cheap. Magmatic engines require about 20 tin each but that's all. You pipe it round (iron pipes make this really simple) into a tank and the tank works as an MFSU. You can...

    Can the intrusiveness of GregTech be reigned in?

    That's because people aren't happy with some of a mods settings but want to keep it for other. Going into config files is completely unnecessary.

    Two platinum == Limitless iridium

    I don't like geo's either - but I think that is a multifold problem as there are so many ways to access the lava. Honestly short of upping the recipe there isn't much greg could do there. There is also the issue of the magma crucible. I think most people just don't touch the subject because it's...

    Two platinum == Limitless iridium

    I don't think it's possible to realistically power a matter fab with base solars, because of the 1 eu/t and loss from cables meaning you won't be able to get a farm near big enough before you are paying so much in cabling and batteries to avoid loss that it makes itself redundant... Advanced...

    That is exaggeration, not sarcasm.

    Two platinum == Limitless iridium

    Loving the sad troll attempt. Let's throw quantities out the window. You need mid tier to unlock any form of solar on gregtech (I will only speak for hardmode as easymode goes against the point of the mod in itself), this means you need non-renewable power to unlock solar. Wind and water will...

    you can't compare "don't turn on a mod" with "don't use a recipe". A lot of us play multiplayer.
