    Lava from sunlight.

Yeh DW20, I was mostly cotenplating using up a bucketload of nikolite into solar panel for blelectric engines for free lava. I barely have 3 stacks of iron, but nikolite is really abundant for some reason.

    Lava from sunlight.

Yeh, I can see that, I'd read that you need over 100 solar panels to get 20 MJ out of one engine. But the reason the idea came to me was, I started on a server and what I most dug up wheile branch mining is 7+ stacks of nikolite, I've no idea what else to do with the damn stuff tbh.

    Lava from sunlight.

That is ALOT of bluelectric stuff. Looking at that I'm thinking a single Medium voltage solar array with 3 electrical engine would be more efficient, sine that outputs 30 MJ, exactly as much as a Magma crucible uses.

    Lava from sunlight.

Would it be reasonable? You can hook up 1 medium solar array and get 3 electrical engines powering a magma crucible hooked up to a cobble gen (igneous extruder) all at full power. Or use a bluelectric engine or 2 with some kinetic generation/solar panels. It's alot of recources to setup, but...

    Automating Electrical Engines?

You did read the part about the amount of diamonds spent correct? Well they may be end game but they are also the only items that really fit the bill for automated redstone signal management.

What is an end game item/setup?

I'll consider my game done when I have an extra Bee bred for longest life, fastest production and can produce all raw materials I need from them alone :D

    Automating Electrical Engines?

Yup especially with liquiducts instead of gold pipes, makes your power system less of a tangled mess in the long term.

    Automating Electrical Engines?

If you want more renewable energy, invest into a peat bog and tree farm/wheat farm for biogas. If you want more resources go for a diamond drill/mining laser and some diggers/miners backpacks.

    Automating Electrical Engines?

Hurrah for railcraft then :D And hobbyist steam engines do seem to have a good long burn rate on fuel, rather efficient.

    Tips?

Indeed, coke ovens take forever to produce anything worth while in resources, but a blast furnace itself takes a while to build considering it needs magma creams.

    Automating Electrical Engines?

ALso an option, and I don't know if this is true for all engines, but I found using Redstone conduites prevents the engines from ever overheating, at least it did with industrial steam engines as the conduits themselves seem to burn off excess MJ from the engines.

    598 Barrels now what

Then I can only suggest regulators or counters, they are the only two decent options for getting a set amount of items into a chest. And off the top of my head even a counter would be hard to set up. Best to use a regulator. EDIT: Thinking about it, a counter, timer, state cell and wireless...

    Automating Electrical Engines?

Indeed that point was valid, which is why I didn't comment against it. But yeh, with that many diamonds a decent gate would be easy to make, so would a better power system tbh.

    598 Barrels now what

Last I checked mindcrack had Thaumcraft, or maybe that is only version 8. But Stone golems do exactly what you want, keep a set amount of items in a designated chest from marked supply chests. EDIT: Yup, just checked The FTB WIki, unless someone disabled it you should have thaumcraft, just...

    Tips?

Or avoid computer craft and play the game yourself instead of getting turtles to do everything ¬.¬ but seriously if you're a starter and don't even know about pulverizers, don't even look into computer craft, IMO it's one of the hardest most boring mods out there, and the results are never great...

    Automating Electrical Engines?

Imporantce isn't the point of cable type it's distance. Long distances with small EU packets need better cable or by the time the windmills have sent 1 eu down 2 miles of cables you'll get nothing out the other end. Copper is fine for short distances as the loss isn't enough to matter, but your...

    Automating Electrical Engines?

Batboxes reset the EU rating running through a line, so they cut down on loss, kinda like an EU buffer, no reason not to have it run through multiple bat boxes as they are cheap.

    Automating Electrical Engines?

5 diamonds for the table, 2 per laser, so 7 for the most basic setup. Everything else is minimal effort. But with minium stones you can go iron to gold to diamond, problem solved. SUre it needs cleaning up but a minimal gate is a easy enough to do.
