What's new in modded minecraft today?

It uses custom blocks instead of vanilla's water, I assume for just this reason.

What's new in modded minecraft today?

You can download the mods just fine - they're the same ones from 1.2.5, just rip them out of a suitably old modpack like Tekkit Classic or FTB's original map modpack.

What's new in modded minecraft today?

Using a Javascript blocker like NoScript makes Mediafire pretty pleasant.

Problem I Think Java 8 update 31 is crashing my FTB Monster Server

You don't seem to have the Legacy Java Fixer installed. Java 8 exposed a bug in Forge's mod sorting code, and that coremod fixes it. It's not necessary to install it on both client and server, but chances are client modpacks already ship with it anyway.

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

Motors with their direction pre-selected and camouflaging any block would both be quite doable. The problem is how to adjust each property - motors can be continuous or not, each side may be either closed or open, it may have a fixed direction or not, and each side may be camouflaged. We'll...

What's new in modded minecraft today?

There are already many frame mods out there that you can download and play with right now. Framez, the Truss Mod, Funky Locomotion and Remain in Motion come to mind - Framez supports many power systems, Truss Mod lets you save multiblocks into the configuration and move whole multiblock...

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

I assume this crash happened at the end of motion. Was there any stack trace from the start of motion?

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

I don't know how easy it is - I'd have to look at the code for a multipart mod, but I haven't found time just yet.

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

Rotating FMP blocks manually could hopefully be done - lots of mods use it - but ideally the code for rotating FMP blocks would be inside FMP. A problem that it would have to solve is that I don't have a way to ask a part for a version of itself facing a different direction - I might have to...

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

EnderIO conduits as in straight-across segments? As far as I know, EIO has no support for rotation (although I did submit a pull request). Forge Multipart support would be quite difficult to implement, especially since as far as I know there is no way to rotate parts.

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

It does its best to move multiblocks, but many of them simply aren't designed to be moved. Any fix would have to be done to the multiblock, but some modders might object to changing something that works. Big Reactors is more the exception than the rule. From what you describe, Thaumcraft golems...

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

I wouldn't be surprised that it breaks multiblock structures - storing the parts' coordinates in absolute positions seems logical enough with vanilla, but moving blocks breaks the assumption it makes. Hardcore mode broken as in not requiring energy, or not accepting it? I think I might know...

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

Try version 2.3.2.1 - it adds a config option to restrict maximum packet size, under the cosmetic tab. The option is server-side and does not break protocol - clients need not update.

Thanks. How big is the base, and about how many tile entities does it have?

Please post the full stack trace. From what you posted, I have no way to tell where this is coming from.

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

New version: v2.3.2 fixes moving while standing on carriages. Finally! Also, if you happen to know/be someone who makes mod spotlights, RemIM could really use one.
