Of all TC's minigames, the current one is the first that hasn't turned me away from TC completely. I'd say it could be pretty interesting if they made you optimize your solution in some way, but as it stands I've always found it easier to throw together a sloppy solution and recycle some items...

Decompile one of the released versions, and deobfuscate it with BON. It happened to my mod Gizmos, IIRC before I released it.

I've sent in a PR to Galacticraft to fix OpenJDK compatibility, so hopefully that part of the problem should be solved.

Retrolambda is supposed to let you use Java 8 on older JREs, and might be worth a try.

OpenJDK 8 is in Debian jessie-backports and testing.

I've built an unofficial update to Easy Crafting by Lepko, with contributions from makotech222, myself, loldudester, and SergeyCherepanov. It's had many bugs fixed, and it's optimized enough to stay usable even with heavy modpacks. Find it here.
