    [Concept/WIP] Enterprise Energy Engineering

I posted this on the Technic forums, but their modding section is a bit quiet, so I figured I'd post it here. Ever wished there was more you could do with RF, once you're flying around with your resonant jetpack and have flux tools for everything under the sun? Enter Enterprise Energy...

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

Unless something's gone wrong, you should be able to simply stand on structures and they'll move you with them.

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

New version, 2.1.3, is now up! This one fixes structures getting stuck if the server exits while they're moving. It'll even fix existing stuck things. A bunch of functionality has been separated out into a library, which can be found in the folder on Mediafire. (Yes, you may use it in modpacks.)...

Mods that fit a Steampunk or Gaslight theme

If you want RedPower tubes but don't want to be stuck with Eloraam's closed source and inconsistent free time, I can't recommend BluePower enough. Its tubes are machine-for-machine identical to RedPower's, and it's open-source.

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

New version! Better still, new features! v2.1.0 adds: Support for many mods' wrenches, including Buildcraft, IC2, ProjectRed, UE, and Railcraft. Did I miss some you use? Tell me, it's dead simple to add more! Support for closing sides of carriage motors/engines/etc. Sneak-clicking them will...

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

The CC integration is broken ATM. I've built some code to make CC integration extremely simple, but I haven't figured out how to neatly get Gradle to include it on the build path. Native OC integration is harder, due to the nature of OC, but it should be pretty easy with an adapter block.

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

The port's in good enough shape that I'm willing to call it stable, as of v2.0.2. Change: FMP carriages don't have a collision box - they used to be glitchy and a nuisance. Now, use a microblock to get a hitbox.

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

We're getting closer to a 1.7 release being ready. The new 1.7 build is for 1.7.10, and fixes many of the bugs that plagued earlier versions of the 1.7 port. Only support and frame carriages are currently functional. Other than that, there are no known major bugs, and I'll work on fixing the...

    ELORAAM

I wouldn't switch to RP3 over ProjectRed, even if it caught up and got ahead feature-wise. Eloraam has been less than reliable with regards to bug fixes and updates (see the lack of RP for 1.5 and 1.6, and the bugs never officially fixed in pr6), and without the source code you're more or less...

    ELORAAM

Wait a minute, did you say practically nobody ever uses ProjectRed? It's the eighth most seen mod on OpenEye's list of most-seen mods right now. Heck, it's even ahead of Thermal Expansion.

    ELORAAM

The IC2 devs threatened to sue over Simply Jetpacks, and now Eloraam gripes about PR's legality? Seriously? It's a sad day when the first instinct of old modders facing new competition is not to improve their mod, but to take away our alternatives to their mod. Give them my thanks for the good...

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

There are 16x textures available through a config property.

    [1.7.10] Remain In Motion - Block-moving mod

You mean Redstone in Motion? RemIM is a continuation of it, so yes, the CC Lua API should be compatible.
  15. P

    ELORAAM

Maybe, I haven't tried MFFS though.
  16. P

    ELORAAM

Yes, I've moved them with Redstone in Motion, so RP frames would hopefully be able to move them. I'd take PR over RP3, because if one of its developers' real life picks up, someone else can take over trivially (yay open-source!), and because at this time RP3 is a sickle with no crafting recipe...

    ELORAAM

TC4, on a survival server. I made a thaumometer and looked at a whole bunch of things. I got the minigame to a state where it seemed like all the nodes should have connected, but they didn't, and then I ran out of essentia and moved on to other mods.
  18. P

    ELORAAM

As someone who's given up on Thaumcraft because of its research system, is it worth pursuing?

    ELORAAM

I have two definitions of magic blocks - those that hide their internal states, and those that include entire blocks of functionality (sorry for the confusion). By default computers don't show what's happening inside them (except whether they're powered on), though admittedly this can be altered...

    ELORAAM

Come to think of it, I guess you're right. Maybe that's what seems stagnant about tech mods - to do X, I just plop down an X-er block and it's done; there's one reasonable solution. AE does it to storage, MFR does it for farming, countless mods do it to mining, Computercraft somewhat does it to...
