    In the launcher's options tab, check the boxes "Show Console" and "Reopen launcher when Minecraft exits". Then launch your pack again and when the crash/error/other problem occurs, click the "upload log" button in console window and give us the link. Also recheck your launcher and server versions.

    Memory allocation issue is partially true. Increase RAM allocation to 2-4 GB and on the launcher go to options then click the force update button, then launch the modpack.

    Did he try to "fix" launcher by running it with admin rights? Log looks like user do not have write access files in C:\Users\Hexevo\AppData\Local\ftblauncher\ModPacks\ Fix those and pack list updates should work again.
