You may also want to try running a BC quarry to bedrock once or twice just to bump up your yellorium supply.

Uranium can be turned into yellorium simply by placing it in a barrel of yellorium. You can also use blutonium as fuel. Once you run a quarry to bedrock once you should have all the yellorium you need.

Do you mean you cant get them to work? They are direction oriented which is accessed from the GUI. The GUI can be a bit tricky to access when you click the the flange that is created when you attach the pipe. There are also filter upgrades etc. I've actually never had the IO conduit have issues...

ender IO item conduit is by far the best, but expensive. There is also extra utilities pipes. TE ducts are great earlygame and short run etc, but as soon as it gets complex they get glitchy.
