Hey guys I'm playin on FTB infinity and I've put a crap ton of time into trying to have a highly efficient Big Reactors Actively Cooled Reactor with BR Turbines.. Have followed several designs from the wiki on optimal end game designs.. settled on 5x5x27 design tried with gold and enderium block for coils. When the coils are engaged they continually loose RPM over time.. I have no steam fluid issues as their hooked up via EnderIO fluid conduits, has the mod changed in such a way that they won't sustain over time or what ? This is driving me up the walls as they output plenty of power over time but the loss in RPM affects power then drains capacitor banks.. etc crashing the whole thing..

If it looses RPM it means you have too many Coil blocks compared to Steam and Blades. Could you share the data of the turbine you are using?

Lolwut?

Enderio conduits aren't fast enough for 2000 mB/t of steam. You will need 3 lines of Ender Fluid Conduits for steam and 3 for water (Thus 6 Reactor fluid port and 6 Turbine fluid port for steam <-> water) if you really want to do so.

I've seen DW20's videos and apparently there's a 5x5x7 internal dimension (7x7x9 O.D.) design with 5 rods that is the most efficient according to some on-line calculator) in terms of running up to 4 Turbines (Fireball1725 did this IIRC). I've seen Fireball use a smaller reactor design dedicated to a single Turbine and mounted right on it's small face. As far as the Turbine slowing down, check the reactor. If you don't have 2000mb of constant steam you don't have enough reactor power/water flow.

yah i just realized about the enderio conduits ,, my builds are all 5x5x27 my main turbine of the 6 has 37 enderium blocks , I replaced the ender-IO with tesseracts on the input last night seems to help but I'm still bottlenecking someplace..

You will need the same bandwidth on both the steam side and the water side. Use a Tesseract channel for steam and a Tesseract channel for water. That is the best solutions hands down for performance of both the setup and the server/PC.

You dont happen to have build the surroundings out of any kind of metal blocks? There is a bug or feature where the turbines will detect blocks on the outside of the turbine casing and use those as coils. If you for example have built your turbine room using a lot of Iron block, then those could be interfering with the turbines functionality.

I've found that XU Liquid Transfer Nodes are the only piping solution that can move the required amount of steam/water to run a max sized turbine. Sure, a Tesseract or Dimensional Transceiver can do it, but I think that looks a bit hokey.

Personally, I solved half the issue by placing my steam producers directly adjacent to the turbine using fluid ports. This meant all I had to do was get water into the boilers I'm using, as the steam is being imported as fast as needed. Similar setup can be used with a reactor, using two fluid ports to exchange liquids in a closed circuit.

XU with upgrades or tesseracts to move fluids. Tesseracts look a lot cleaner than pipes imo and you can put them anywhere. I've tried ports top sides side by side opposite ends and it doesn't matter they work the same so if you put the ports and tesseracts on top it looks really clean. I also put the power tap on top with a tesserac. Make sure you have 80 blades, the GUI will tell you how many there are:
