They can work independently from each other, they don't care. It also doesn't matter if you have one flower feeding 20 Apiaries/Alvearies or 100 flowers feeding 1 Apiary/Alveary.

Rolling Machines cannot be sped up with any kind of upgrade. If you produce so much stuff, you can only parallelize it, i.e. build more Rolling Machines.

This kind of automation cannot set a level of e.g. keep 16 drones in the apiary. All or nothing. Just accept the full stack of drones in each apiary and move on.
