There are config options to determine what upgrades come as default, the default values for those configs are still being decided but at the moment the redstone control, autoeject, and reconfigurable sides come as default.

According to one of the testers on reddit the auto-eject, redstone control and reconfigurable sides upgrades come as standard.

I don't really like Gregtech so I disabled it when I played Ultimate (before creating the world) and I haven't played TPPI either. If Gregtech isn't a necessity you may want to go with Monster or Direwolf20 on the FTB launcher or Yogscast Complete on the ATLauncher.

I thought you couldn't automate putting the turbine blade in the turbine, did that change? If it didn't, you could use some of the steam from the boiler to power steam dynamos and use those to power your AE system.

At one point any light would cause cursed earth to catch fire, one version of extra utilities changed it so only sunlight made it catch fire and other light disabled it. Make sure there's no sunlight in there and check your extra utilities version.

If you are using Google Chrome there is this extension. That'll be useful for keeping the network stocked with items, doesn't help to keep an external inventory stocked though.

If you are using other mods then logistics supplier pipes also work, as do extra utilities restrictive transfer pipes.

That will keep the AE network stocked with items, to keep an external inventory stocked you have to use the subnetwork (or translocators, logistics pipes, extra utilities, probably a few more).

You can do that with a subnetwork, make a network that only consists of a storage bus on the inventory and a level emitter, then use the level emitter to control an export bus attached to the main network. This is actually easier to do in AE2 because the subnetwork doesn't need a controller.

So basically there's no such thing as internal processing anymore, everything is processed externally with interfaces and AE2 adds an automatic crafting table to use with this.

I really love the models in Mekanism and this is no exception.
