Hi guyz,

i've one question for you!
yesterday i started a new world in FTB ultimate, and i saw that the recipes of a few things are very very more expensive then the tekkitlite mod.

after a little research i found the problem....Gregtech mod has changed the recipes!!!!

So, can i disable that mod, or is important for the Pack?
if i disable it, is all ok or i can find some bugs/conflict?

i hope that my english is good ^^"

thanks in advance for the reply!!

you can disable it, but you may need to restart your world as alot of world gen will have been removed together with Gregtech

You'll only lose anything that's actually from Gregtech. You won't lose anything if you change the recipes in the config file.

Also, Ultimate is a very old pack, you may want to consider one of the newer ones. Test Pack Please Ignore has a lot of the mods that are in Ultimate, it also has Gregtech but configured not to interfere with the recipes of anything (except the Buildcraft quarry and stuff from Industrialcraft).

mmmh, so you which pack do you prefer?

i chose the ultimate because i saw it on youtube video...
i tried also DNS from ATLauncher, but i didn't like it.

i'm a noob with the modpack, so i'd start with an "easy" one

I don't really like Gregtech so I disabled it when I played Ultimate (before creating the world) and I haven't played TPPI either. If Gregtech isn't a necessity you may want to go with Monster or Direwolf20 on the FTB launcher or Yogscast Complete on the ATLauncher.

It depends on what you find easy. The mod isn't as difficult as it sounds, it just doesn't appeal to a lot of people because A. they don't like their early game slowed down via wood nerf, B. there is a lot of GUI time in this mod, and C. crafting isn't as simple as Vanilla where there are maximum of 9 items in a recipe, where 2 of those items might be a sub-combine. GT has recipes where all items in the grid are subs, and some of those subs have subs. Those are just the top three reasons that I notice, anyway.

if you're new to minecraft, and thus new to things like autocrafting, it'll be twice as "tough" until you get used to the game. I'd give it a chance before discarding it. GT isn't for everybody, but it has fans.

thanks to all guys...
i've modified the GT config in order to have the GT in the modpack but with simple recipes.

but now i've another problem/bug .... the minium stone work untill i see one recipe....after it doesn't work...
with tekkit lite i fixed that with the factorization 0.7.21...but in this case the solution doesn't work :(

oh god....

EDIT

ok, fixed. factorization must be 0.7.10v eheh
