OpenBlocks Sprinklers (and Reliquary's lily pad) also work with watering cans. The effect is cumulative. I made a 3x3 tree farm with those 3 working and was generating 650+ saplings every hour (and several thousand wood).

Aesthetics are important.

The key is to keep yourself out of eye level of said creepers, and to injure them to be assured 1-hit kills. Can do this a number of ways; vanilla water-drop towers, iron spikes, piston suffocation, and many more.

Cursed earth works well.

One last ritual. Cursed earth, a ritual and blood magic....what could go wrong? Also, MFR spawners are really handy for getting those hard to find items like slimeballs, ghast tears, and ender pearls.

Does cursed earth ignore the spawn restrictions of a Magnum torch? Safari net an Enderman; put in MFR autospawner, push to grinder, collect more pearls than you'll ever need. (To collect essence, have a couple of forcewrenched spawners naturally spawning mobs to be eaten by a grinder).

I did exactly what you want to do; cleared water out of a MFFS dome using the sponge module. Starts with power gen for the MFFS field and works up from there. (at 14:05 the sponge mod starts)

...are you implying that this is too expensive? Cause pearls are easy as sin to come by...and this "ender lever" is actually a decently powerful item. I'm at work, can't look things up, but doesn't the wireless emitters use magma cream (necessitating a visit to the nether)? At least you could...

I would subscribe to this newsletter. Recipe: 4 ender pearls surrounding a lever makes 2 "ender levers". Color code them, just like ender chests. Collect winnings. It's just easier, and more intuitive; every Minecraft player from vanilla through FTB knows how to work a lever.

Could also use Fluid import bus with AE; that's how I deal with all the fluid generation in my glass dome of some solitude.

That is most definitely lava....and very cool design.

I think an easier solution would be to turn off the spawner while you're away.

For me, it's armor with nightvision/no fall damage, with the well of suffering 2nd....though, I'm very interested in getting a meteor ritual going...

Blood magic offers a beautiful bounty of ways to go through Minecraft, and can offer arcane methods for most tasks. Power gen? Try the Lava for Lifepoints method. Armor? Why yes please! A full set of enchantable armor that doesn't degrade and sacrifices your stored LP in exchange for damage...
