Silly question, but you right clicked the air first to bind the activation crystal to your character, right? Also, it's not that you've got particle effects off (i.e. it's working, and you can't see it)?

Blood magic armor with fire resist so that he can't hurt you. Tart/paper/thaum rapier with nothing but Quartz upgrades does 7 damage per strike (I'm 99% sure of that, at work, can't check, but if needed, I'll check it tonight). Summon, and smash him into a wall over and over. Collect loot.

A lot of the new(er) players use my base as well; we keep the Mystcraft ages there (I'm an OP, and we keep Mystcraft creation limited to help TPS/Lag), as well as my smeltery, and to swipe XP berries from my farm. I like having people visit; it's a great way to stay in touch with everyone...

My server has a nice mix of situations. I live further out (I wanted to build in the ocean, dome-style). Most everyone else that was in from the beginning of the world lives closer...some as few as a hundred blocks from each other. I'd say about half of us build solo, the rest partnered up...

Still spawning on an existing world, or fresh start? I'm just curious (might take a fresh world to erase them from existence).

My only real complaint with AM2 is that it's difficult to know the effect of unlocked components/shapes before you go through the trouble of crafting the spell. For example; Radius. What exactly is the effect of Radius? Does stacking Radius increase the....radius? Radius + AoE = Moar AoE...
