I actually did it that way, mostly because it made me smile. Is it the most efficient way? Probably not...but after a while, amusement trumps efficiency for me.

It most certainly does; try ignoring it and spamming heal spells as you work through blood magic. Do that for about 25 levels. Then go kill a living creature...say a cow, pig or sheep. Or heck, try a slime. Then report back ;)

What exactly does the effect of "Radius" do? Expand the effect of AE/Zone stuff? If yes, by how much?

They most definitely do. Spoilered what I've gotten thus far;

I also have had zero effect from using the "NONE" tome. In addition, I've killed over 50 of the AR2 bosses, and never seen a tome drop...so if they do, it's stupidly low rates (or I'm horribly unlucky, but with that many kills, I'm not thinking that's the case).

More fun with Blood Magic today as we summon up a few elementals (spoiler, they're not happy about it), make our tier 5 blood orb (hooray! 10 million LP storage), and we figure out a way to SPEND all the newly acquired Life Points. Boom.

Exactly right; for ease of use connect simple pipe to an ender chest at your quarry, then connect an ME import bus to the ender chest. Profit.
