TiCon's bows are not the strength. Their arrows are. Bows are for shooting faster arrows for hitting harder. Also make an excellent unbreaking sword(Up to 14 damage IIRC).

Like SReject said. It's a huge mixture of speed and luck(On the hard route). About 50% chance you can get one on day 0 on the hard route and a 100% chance on the easy route.

IIRC you're meant to get it from one of the ores from the end. May also be able to get it from another ore but I don't remember ultimate well.
