IC2 doesn't register the ores at all if the oregen is turned off for them. So it simply doesn't use the IDs specified in the config at all.
Also, it doesn't recognize IC2's own ingots? How about the IC2 ore dusts? Or maybe the ingot block versions?
Yeah I'd imagine the best way to do it would be having SFM input any enchanted items into an input chest then have them moved to the router to sort them.

That's pretty weird.
The issue wasn't extremely well known until several months into AgS so some people knew some didn't which resulted in people not knowing the proper information from the mis-information. When that video was made there's a strong chance she didn't know...

Also with a nether portal trap you wouldn't need to be in the nether for it to work ;)
