    Curious about spatial AE

I found it: http://forum.feed-the-beast.com/threads/ae-spatial-ic2-mining-apparatus-mark-ii-asima-2.46317/ This *is* a cool use for AE spatial storage.

    Curious about spatial AE

I have seen people make automated boring machines using MFFS. I suppose you could do something similar with this mod.

Huge problem with taint :( Help?

I never had much problem with taint. I just planted lots of silverwood trees between a large tained area and the area I wanted to project and it seemed to have stopped the spread in that direction at least. Maybe I was just lucky.

    Curious about spatial AE

Yes it will be stored on a spacial storage cell.

    Curious about spatial AE

No, it actually converts the thing to energy and then reconstructs it at the other place. I think it does destroy the original though. Not 100% sure.

    What's the point of RotaryCraft?

I agree with that. Everyone plays differently. I like to use magnetostatics and use RF for easy power distribution. But I can just as well see someone trying to do this the RoC way fully. I think there should be room for both ways and there is not really a point in nerfing one way or the other...

    ELORAAM

I have never seen RP as I only started playing MC pretty recently but what exactly was in RP that isn't already duplicated in some other mod like ProjectRed? Perhaps she could concentrate on a smaller mod bringing back only those features and work together with (for example) ProjectRed.

Huge problem with taint :( Help?

I know. But would have been fun otherwise.

    Rotarycraft Gasoline Engines

Are we talking about the same thing? I.e. gasoline engine vs gas turbine?

    Rotarycraft Gasoline Engines

Well I still find the gas engine a lot easier to just slap down somewhere next to a machine and then feed it some ethanol. You can't really do that easily with the hydro (although with coils you can probably achieve something similar).

    Rotarycraft Gasoline Engines

The gas engine infrastructure really isn't that hard. It is just a fermenter. At least unless you want to fully automate it. In that case it becomes a lot more complicated. But I think that the gas engine is not really meant for automation. It is an early RoC engine which is easily handled...

    Rotarycraft Gasoline Engines

BTW, the RoC steam engine can also run on its own forever with a DC electric engine, a pump, and an infinite pool of water. Of course it gives a lot less power compared to the hydrokinetic.

    Rotarycraft Gasoline Engines

Well isn't this like in reality? If you're lucky enough to find a good waterfall then you can also make unlimited (for all practical purposes) power in reality. Of course the difference is that in Minecraft you can make an infinite waterfall with just a single block. But then again, all water...

    Rotarycraft Gasoline Engines

Hydrokenitc engines are nice but they do take a lot of vertical place (64 blocks for full efficiency) so they are not always appropriate. I think gas engines are somewhat easier to do early on.

    What's the point of RotaryCraft?

Actually the steam engine really doesn't take that much water. At least not if you feed it with a RoC pump. I can feed at least three steam engines with a single RoC pump. As to the other fuel sources. I've only used the microturbine which uses jet fuel and that one runs pretty long with a bit...

    Endgame noob hovel.

If you're *really* *really* extremely bored then you can use octuple compressed cobble and feed that into an AE condenser to make a singularity. So you need about 250000 octuple compressed cobble pieces. Would be a good achievement I think :-)

Huge problem with taint :( Help?

Build a ReactorCraft reactor there and let the radiation and taint fight each other :-)

    Monster vs DW20

I would prefer Monster since it contains RotaryCraft, one of my favorite mods. Otherwise I agree that DW20 might be a bit more balanced.
  19. McJty

    What's the point of RotaryCraft?

Actually if you have access to magical crops then all of those ingredients for jet fuel are in fact renewable. But of course that depends on that mod being present. BTW, my first fully automatic renewable power source from RotaryCraft is always the hydrokinetic engine. It only requires...

    The future of automation

Well you can connect those chests to machines. For example you can have an automatic animal farm producing meat which puts that in a chest and then connect that to the AE system to have easy access to all your chests. But yes, it is all a matter of taste.
