It seems really weird that client config would override server config in this case as that case it would give a way to exploit this. i.e. modify your client config so you have more profitable recepies then other people on the server.

Yes, I think that EnderIO has sufficient in it to be almost a replacement for TE. The only thing still missing and for which TE is still needed is the creation of the special fluids.

I find that statement a bit weird as RotaryCraft works so well together with other mods. I'm using it extensively in a mostly TE/RF based world myself and it fits in really well.

Optifine has impproved a lot to be honest. I'm having really good results with 170 mods and Optifine installed. Performance goes up and I can increase render distance which I like a lot. The only small issue I still get is the occasional z-fighting. But it really isn't that bad.

True that. But still flying in the Twilight Forest lets someone avoid a lot of the fun traps and puzzles which takes away a bit of the point of many of these boss monsters.

Also the Twilight Forest becomes a lot easier if you can fly. But then flying can also be achieved with other ways like Power Armor and other jetpacks.

Even end-game some of the stuff in TE remains useful. Like the devices to make ender and redstone fluids and you still need a furnace to actually melt the flakes you get from RotaryCraft. Although there are better furnaces out there of course.

Do you also have to remove the config file if you upgrade EnderIO in 1.6.4? I thought it was only for 1.7.2?
