    Opinions on Dartcraft

I like dartcraft, and always include it when I'm building a mod list from scratch. However, it does render a lot of other mods less attractive at various stages by being 'good enough'. Early TiCo tools aren't needed, you can do quite well with force picks and swords. Boots of the traveller...

Thermal Expansion Question. now Integrating Buildcraft.help.

enderthermic pump works in the overworld. I'm using it on my horizons server. Not sure if/when that changed.

Well that's interesting. I wonder if there's useful information in your forge log. Perhaps if you pastebin it someone will have an idea. I can't imagine what's wrong.

What do you think is the best mod pack?

What do you want to do? Do you want to explore strange new things? (horizons) Do you want to move items around like a CHAMP (direwolf) Do you want to work your way up the hard way, kicking and screaming? (magic farm) Do you want it ALL? (monster!) :)

It's usually simple. Either using the tool, or manually renaming the files to add a .disabled to the end of the mod names in the directory.

    Arcane Infusion... Something's not right...

I can answer the last question, at least. If your wand is on your action bar, you'll pick up the little essentia orbs when you kill mobs. That will charge a some aspects of a wand pretty quickly in an active environment (say...a roguelike)

Not aware of any such tool, but you might be able to track it using some of the Opis tools. If you setup something to feed, say, cobble, into this ender chest, you should be able to notice activity spike on the other end. That's no guarantee, but it's the closest thing I can think of.

    Thaumcraft assistance

Move an inert node in between those two that are connecting diagonally.

    Arcane Infusion... Something's not right...

oh. ok. that's...logical. dammit. I stopped expecting LOGICAL and THAUMCRAFT to be in the same thought.

    Arcane Infusion... Something's not right...

I made quite a lot of flux because of a rather notably large case of STUPID I'd apparently been drinking. That said, there was also a serious case of 'wow, I didn't know that'* and 'holy crap, that SUCKS'** by the time I was done. So the flux pool I have is probably deeper than most. I...

    Arcane Infusion... Something's not right...

I blew it on an infusion last night and when I aborted the process, it generated a deeper patch of flux that I can't place a block in. I'm about half-tempted to dig a hole through the ground to get rid of it ;)

Thermal Expansion 3.0!!! No More Beta! Thanks KL!

I was just thinking (after doing some reading on minecraftwiki.net), that I might be able to do it with a furnace and two comparators.

Vanilla redstone mechanics, or mods? I stand a chance of figuring out the latter! :)

That should only be an issue if there's nowhere for that energy to go, right? If you turn off your dynamos before they start to backlog energy there isn't really any penalty for shutting them down (at least, that seems to be my experience, but I have a very small setup)

Thermal Expansion 3.0!!! No More Beta! Thanks KL!

It's not as much about compact, in this case, but I have rooms above and below. Not sure where I'd even put the redstone. More than likely, I'll end up moving the machine room around in order to take advantage of this amazing thing. A very small price to pay for Awesome. That said, maybe...

Now I just have to figure how to do it without an 8-block long line of redstone in Horizons. :) You'd think projectRed or enderIO would have some kind of block to work with redstone signal strengths, but I haven't figured out what they are.

Horizons.. Anyone found Zinc or Adamantine?

IMO, the best things to come out of that spreadsheet was learning that Vulcanite and Sanguinite are amazing as is, and damascus steel is super easy for a very, very good alumite replacement... it's not quite as good as alumite, but you don't need obsidian for it and can completely bypass that...

Horizons.. Anyone found Zinc or Adamantine?

Yes, it is. Fortunately there's a good resource. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtIdh67qyN9odEUyREJIWjFqZUlxNk5LRXlNLW4zUnc#gid=0 (EDIT: I have no idea who put that together. I'm sure it was some reddit poster, but they deserve so many damn kudos they could swim in the results)

Not just vanilla mechanics (don't get me wrong..I couldn't comparitor my way out of a paper bag), but vanilla integration. I have vague memories of someone talking about this before, now that I've watched Jaded's video, but before watching I never would have suspected, in a bajillion hours of...

The most likely answer is that you have placed a block or crafted an item that comes from that mod?
