Hiya, ive been messing around with my own mod pack :) well ive added some FTB mods into the FTB Lite :)

My question is this how do I pump liquids into teseracts etc in Thermal Expansion?

Is buildcraft needed for this? I seem to think that TE is complimentary to BC.

Mods ive added to Lite are

Thaumcraft
Tinkertable
Mystcraft
Galacticraft
Modular Powersuits
Biomes a Plenty.

Thanks
Brian.

At this moment in time, TE does not have a pump. You will need another mod for that functionality. The BC pump will work perfectly.

So if I take the BC mod from the techworld 2 V1.0.5 for MC 1.6.4 that should work seamlessly with what we have shoudn't it?

Is it a standalone mod or does it have dependancies?

That's great, I think extra utilities is already in it :)

Hmm wonder how its powers, time to hit google I think :)

Bugger the ender thermic thing needs an ender eye so it needs me to have gone into the nether, im looking for a pump that's a bit earlier, for water and lava and oil.

Is there a different pump in extra utils?

After some reading it looks like the ender thermic engine was specifically designed to help out in shifting lava from the nether to the overworld. It says its only meant to work in the nether by default (this can be changed though).

I think ill just import buildcraft into it.

Thanks for the advice and help though :)

That pump was was changed to be allowed to work anywhere else, but the BC one is cheaper to craft.

So, whatever you prefer really.

Ok ive added the Buildcraft mod from the Techworld 2 v1.0.5 modpack. When I launched my singleplayer test world got an error up.

Forge Mod Loader has found ID mismatches
Complete details are in the log file

ID 3385 from Mod GalacticraftCore is missing
ID 3377 from Mod GalacticraftCore is missing

Then it asks if I want to keep loading.

I canceled the load pulled the mod out reloaded and it was fine put in the mod and created a new world, and that was fine.

So the mods are ok, but what does that error mean and how would it affect an ongoing server if I was just to continue.

I hope this makes sence, ive not really messed with moving mods around before :)

both the BC pump and Enderthermic pump will work but with limitations
BC Pump can not handle other fluids than Oil and Water
Enderthermic pump will only work in the nether and lava
Engineer's Toolbox pump can work (mod fluids support)
Mekanism's Electric pump can also work (when dealing with mod fluids)

PS:Missing IDs can be world lethal just make sure they are minor... like if blocks are missing or items missing its best to spawn new worlds per mods removed or added

BC pump works fine on fluids other than Oil and Water.
Ender-Thermic Pump works in all dimensions on all fluids as well.

huh? since when did the ender thermic pump work on the overworld when RWtema said it only works on the nether... and when I said BC pumps doesnt work is because you can't pump say destabilized redstone ocean (mystcraft forge fluid IS... THE BOMB?) with it

enderthermic pump works in the overworld. I'm using it on my horizons server. Not sure if/when that changed.

BC pump works fine on lava, sludge, and sewage. I haven't directly tested other fluids and made an assumption. So, it works for some, and the most commonly pumped, but not all.

The forum thread for extra utilities is woefully out of date. There are many features, blocks, and items not covered in the thread.

*EDIT*

Just tested. BC Pump was able to suck up Destabilized Redstone just fine.

I even used the BC pump to pump that essence water from Ars Magica... so saying that the BC pump is limited in the liquids it can pump is not true...

It's most likely been updated to work with the new liquid stuff in Forge. Anything classed as a liquid it can most likely pump.

The BC Pump can work on all liquids. Even UU matter! The Enderthermic Pump works in the Overworld and I think all liquids. RWTema updated it.
I believe the only difference between the two pumps is that the Enderthermic Pump chunkloads itself, and the cost for the two pumps.

There is an option to "Continue" if you get this kinda error, though those blocks can become a littlle weird. I always get this error when I resolve IDConflicts and once all of my AM chimerite generated near spawn turned into Gold Inlay... Now I REALLY want an uncrafting table from Twilight Forest...
EDIT: chance for this madness to happen is extremely low.

Again thanks as allways for this :) the server ran fine and had no glitches, so it must just have been something in my test world that caused the glitch.
