Is Ore processing and sorting disappearing?

Calm down birch. No need to get defensive, other people also agree that MFR is very powerful.

Isnt there a thread about Magicfarm2 where I could discuss balance questions? I found it once and now cant find it anywhere. Id like to find out if adding ars magica 2 to the pack would ruin the balance that Jaded wanted to set down. Is ars magica similar to thaumcraft balancewise?

Is Ore processing and sorting disappearing?

I could reply to everything you wrote but this is the key. Interesting that we agreed on a few things though. (ender pearls, moving spawners, etc.) Notice the mods that have nerfed things? Now tell me which mods in a big pack like monster get the most use and fame, and which ones get people...

Is Ore processing and sorting disappearing?

We thought of this, but does the reduced ore gen make hand mining too annoying? I thought ultimate 1.4.7 was pretty good, 1.5 was too high. Increasing quarry power draw also means less holes in the ground. But its a good idea, thanks, i might try it both ways and see how they go. The...

Why don't people like IC2 anymore?

This is kind of funny, this is just a guess. But i saw your comment here yesterday and today on reddit I see a post about a famous anime director. His name is Hayao Miyazaki and his company is called Studio Ghibli. "Hayo". "Gibbl" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Studio_Ghibli Its a stretch...

Is Ore processing and sorting disappearing?

All good points, Im going by my experience only. I only used gravisuite with gregtech so it seemed balanced. In a non gregtech pack its just as bad as MPS. I think you made a type though on the ender tanks. You said 'before ener tanks were in 1.4' then said 'he used a liquid transposer with...

Yeah fair enough, they do complain.

Is Ore processing and sorting disappearing?

Te3 has ore tripling. MFR tree farms require no maintenance vs older tree farms. (I remember a Direwolf video, hearing jaded say "wait til MFR is on the server if you want to see 'Oh-Pee') Now MFR is standard mod. EnderIO fluids, items and redstone signal in one line of pipes. Pipes have...

Is Ore processing and sorting disappearing?

And now you have basically thrown FTB out the window and relegated those players to doing a lot more screwing around. Not everyone wants to muck around with ID conflicts and such. I thought the point of FTB was to make it simple and easy for non techy people to play modded minecraft...

Why don't people like IC2 anymore?

Sirus could you comment on the ideas in the design of IC2 exp? What was the thinking behind the design with the cutters and such? It seems that mods can create tiers of progression through complexity, or through increased cost. IC2 seems to have gone the way of complexity, but from what I...

Why don't people like IC2 anymore?

yes im playing it now, I should have really tried the pack before trying to adjust it. Im getting it now (why can't I punch a tree? hehe) , and I love it so far. :) This is the pack ive been looking for. Although im about to die flailing my hands uselessly at some gravel trying to find out...

Why don't people like IC2 anymore?

Hmm I have to get ic2 exp installed so I can see this. Honestly though im interested in their changes. I always viewed ore doubling as equivalent to a tesseract. its a huge change to the game environment once you geet it set up. Maybe they didnt do it the right way, but I kind of feel that...

Why don't people like IC2 anymore?

Interesting, the new cofh site doesnt give the recipe. Seems harder to make them. Kind of suprises me, I usually get told people dont like things being made more expensive. No one seems bothered by this though. I like that they seem harder to make. Honest question though, why do people...

Why don't people like IC2 anymore?

How did tesseracts get more expensive? hjavent played te3, they look the same to me on the site though or a bit cheaper. 4 tin and a frame willed with ender? is it more than 4 ender pearls now?

Why don't people like IC2 anymore?

maybe i was spoiled, first time i ever played, the server admin set difficulty to hard. i died a lot in the beginning. My point wasnt that spawners are hard, but they present at least some challenge. mods increase challenge, like twilight forest dungeons, towers, etc. MPS though removes all...

Why don't people like IC2 anymore?

I think ic2 without gravisuite is better than using MPS. I'm either going to config MPS to nerf it hard or just toss it. Jet packs require losing armor, you gain something but lose something. With MPS and gravisuite you remove all of the danger from the mod. Why do people automatically say...

Why don't people like IC2 anymore?

Well I just keep seeing people post AE systems with 50k or more iron sitting around doing nothing, for me having a way to spend it all would be more fun. To each his own though. To the guy who talked about machine frames: once I have a quarry I make a stack of anything I craft that might be...

Why don't people like IC2 anymore?

Interesting take. I have to get exp IC2 going to see how this changed, im going by older ic2 so I shouldn't really comment. 6 hours does seem extreme. Sounds like they didnt want people to plop down all the machines in 20 minutes to create a sort of progression, but imo it would be better to...

Why don't people like IC2 anymore?

I think what they are trying to do is push people to craft ahead. Set up some way to have a stack of uninsulated copper cables always on hand. Any time I run into something tedious... i try to automate it. You dont need lots of wrenches but you will need lots of batteries and circuits right...
